The official cheat for milestones in The Sims 4 is aspirations.complete_current_milestone. It completes the active Sim’s current aspiration milestone. It does not add, remove, or edit life milestones such as the infant milestones introduced with Growing Together, and EA’s cheat list does not document a built-in command for those. Because “milestone” covers two different systems in the game, the first step is working out which one you mean.
Enter the aspiration milestone cheat
EA’s cheat list defines the command as completing the current aspiration milestone. Entering it works in Live Mode, which is where EA’s FAQ says live-mode cheats are used. Source: EA’s The Sims 4 cheats FAQ.
On PC or Mac
- Load a household and switch to Live Mode.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console.
- Type
aspirations.complete_current_milestoneand press Enter.
The command applies to the active Sim. If you want a different household member’s current milestone completed, switch to that Sim first and run the command again.
On PlayStation or Xbox
- Switch to Live Mode.
- Hold all four shoulder buttons to open the console, as EA instructs for console players.
- Enter
testingcheats true, which EA’s console instructions require before using live-mode cheats. - Enter
aspirations.complete_current_milestone.
EA also states that cheats requiring testingcheats true disable Achievements and Trophies in the save where they are used. Other saves are not affected, so a console player who wants to keep trophy progress in a given save should avoid enabling testing cheats in that save.

Why “milestone” is ambiguous in The Sims 4
Readers searching this phrase usually mean one of two things. The first is the aspiration milestone, a step toward a Sim’s aspiration goal, which the console command addresses. The second is a life milestone: a recorded moment in a Sim’s life history. Many player questions about “altering” milestones concern the second type, and that is where the official command does not apply.
Aspiration milestones
These are progress steps within a Sim’s aspiration. The built-in command completes the current one for the active Sim. Use it when a Sim is stuck on a step that is difficult to reach through normal play.

Growing Together life milestones
EA describes these as a way to show a Sim’s current growth and the lifelong touchstones that keep affecting them as they age. In its Growing Together guided tour, EA states:
“Through Sims’ experiences and relationships, players will begin to encounter Milestones, which will provide a way of showing players their Sims’ current growth, as well as their lifelong touchstones that continue to impact them as they age.”

The pack adds infant milestones that highlight development and can open abilities for social interaction and exploration. The infant life stage itself was added in a free base-game update; EA attributes the infant milestone gameplay to Growing Together. None of the official cheat entries listed in the FAQ add or remove these life milestones.

Do not treat the aspiration command as a general milestone editor. It acts on one aspiration step, and it cannot be used to change what happened in a Sim’s life history.

Sims can attend Meetups to mix and mingle with those who are passionate about the same hobbies – they may even find someone to mentor them in their favorite skill. Sims can become mentors at high skill levels, or they can build their legacy by hosting Classes and Lectures. Listening to a Lecture is one of the ways a Sim may earn Mastery Perks. Hobbies are best when shared, so explore the new neighborhoods of Gammelvik and Iverstad to meet like-minded Sims!
Mods and community workarounds for life milestones
EA’s forums contain player threads asking how to add, remove, or alter milestones, and some replies point to third-party mods. The threads show what players are attempting, but they do not establish an official command, current mod compatibility, or a method that works on every platform. The EA Forums threads on altering milestones and on Growing Together milestone cheats are anecdotal reports.
If you choose a mod, check its current instructions and compatibility with your game version before installing it, and remember that mods are not supported by EA.

Key Growing Together figures
These figures come from EA’s own description of the pack, published in 2023. They describe the pack’s content, not how many milestones a cheat unlocks.
- 18 discoverable infant quirks, three per infant.
- 18 discoverable toddler quirks.
- Four new child Aspirations: Slumber Party Animal, Mind and Body, Playtime Captain, and Creative Genius.
Quirks are personality-style traits, not milestones, so they are not affected by the milestone cheat.
