The Workshop code most often given for the Community Edition of Genji Ball is 926FG. Other listings use different codes, including NDDVV for Genji Ball v1.2.8, so the right code depends on which version of the mode you want. As of October 8, 2026, these are the codes the sources below list.
Which code to use
If you want the Community Edition, enter 926FG. Workshop.codes lists it as the community-maintained continuation of the mode and describes it as open source. If you specifically want the version labelled Genji Ball v1.2.8, use NDDVV, which appears in the workshop-code panel of the Genji Ball community site. The two are distinct listings, not two codes for the same file.

Codes for Genji Ball and related modes
Several codes circulate under similar names. The table below separates them by the name each listing uses. Where a source does not state a detail, the cell says so.
| Code | Listing name | Version or variant | Team format | Where it is listed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 926FG | Genji Ball (Community Edition) | Community continuation, open source | Not stated | Workshop.codes |
| NDDVV | Genji Ball | v1.2.8 | Not stated | Genji Ball community site |
| VYDBB | Genji DodgeBall | v7.9.1 | Not stated | Genji Ball community site (related mode, not the same title as v1.2.8) |
| BZMVY | Genji DodgeBall Team DM | v7.9.1 | Team deathmatch | Genji Ball community site (related mode) |
| QESMS | Genji Ball but there’s 2 balls | Two-ball variant | Not stated | Workshop.codes and a community code index |
| X6QH4 | Genji Dodgeball | Dodgeball mode | Not stated | Workshop.codes |
| 5Y71E | Genji Ball by Dawn | Legacy or alternative | Not stated | An older article dated October 23, 2023 |
The differences are not necessarily errors. Community listings name different authors, versions and variants, so a code that worked in one listing may point to a different build than another. When choosing, compare the mode name, the version, the team format and the variant, in that order.

How to load a code
An older walkthrough describes the following path in Overwatch. Menu labels can change between game updates, so if a label differs, look for the code import option inside the custom game settings.
- Open Play, then choose Custom Games.
- Select Create to open a new custom game lobby.
- Open Settings and find the Import Code option.
- Enter the Workshop code exactly as listed, such as 926FG or NDDVV, and confirm the import.
Expected result: the imported mode appears in your custom game settings and can be started from the lobby. If the import is rejected, the code is probably mistyped, or the listing has been changed or removed by its author.

What the Community Edition plays like
Workshop.codes describes Genji Ball as a dodgeball-style mode in which a single ball homes in on a target. Players deflect it toward other players, and each deflection increases the ball’s speed. The last player standing wins the round. If time runs out, the winner is the player with the most rounds won.
The listing also notes a fallback for timing. If a deflect is not available at the right moment, a dash can hit the ball, but the dasher is knocked down briefly as the cost.

If a code fails
- Check the characters. Codes are short and easy to misread. Confirm that letters such as O and 0 are typed correctly.
- Match the mode name. If you wanted the Community Edition but entered NDDVV, you will load Genji Ball v1.2.8 instead, and the reverse is also true.
- Check the code’s age. The code index shows a last update of July 25, 2026, by its listed contributor. The October 23, 2023 article lists 5Y71E, which is not used by the current listings above. Workshop modes are maintained by their authors and can be changed or taken down without notice.
Evidence and limits
The code data above comes from Workshop.codes, the Genji Ball community site, a community code index and one older article. No independent test of the codes was run for this page, and the sources do not publish player counts or ratings for these modes. Treat the codes as the current listings, not as guarantees that a listing will stay live.
The code index’s update date, July 25, 2026, is the most recent dated source in this list. The October 23, 2023 article is the oldest.

Because the menu paths come from an older walkthrough, the exact labels may be out of date in the current version of Overwatch.
When a listing is updated or removed, check its page on the source named in the table.
