There is no single official Dream Address for a Hogwarts island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Several player-made Harry Potter or Hogwarts-themed islands have been shared online, and each has its own address. Until you know which creator or island you mean, no one address can be called “the” Hogwarts code.
Why there is no one Hogwarts code
“Hogwarts” is a theme, not a title held by one island. Different community creators have built Harry Potter-inspired islands, and each one is reached through its own Dream Address. Community posts have circulated addresses such as DA-3033-5408-9544, but those posts do not establish that a given address was the intended one, when it was posted, or whether it still works. Treat any address you find as a lead to check, not as a confirmed answer.
When you search for a code, look for these details alongside it:
- Creator or source: the player or account that uploaded the island, if it is named.
- Theme details: whether the island matches the specific Hogwarts build you have in mind, such as particular houses, rooms or landmarks.
- Recency: the post date. Many posts give no date, so an address shared years ago may already be out of date.
- Whether it resolves: whether the address actually opens the island in your game today.
What a Dream Address is
The “dream code” players ask about is Nintendo’s Dream Address. You use it to visit another player’s island while your character sleeps, through the Dream Suite option in Luna. Nintendo’s visitor instructions state that these visits take place only in a dream. Nintendo Support puts it this way: “Because these island visits happen only in dreams, you will not be able to make any changes to the actual islands.”

- Build your community from scratch on a deserted island brimming with possibility; Create your personal getaway and customize your character, home, decorations, and even the landscape itself

That means you can look around, but you cannot place items, dig, or otherwise alter the island you visit. Your own island is unaffected.
Addresses are controlled by the owner. If an owner removes an island from the Dream Library, its Dream Address stops working. An address that once opened an island may therefore return an error or nothing at all, and nothing in the game will tell you which island it used to point to.
Requirements before you can visit
Nintendo lists these conditions for visiting a Dream Address:

- An active Nintendo Switch Online membership.
- A persistent internet connection.
- At least five animal residents on your island.
- A first home with a bed.
- Any equipped wand transformation removed.
- The gates closed, and you must be playing solo.
How to visit a Dream Address
- Confirm that every requirement above is met on your island.
- Enter your home and lie down on the bed.
- Choose to sleep.
- When the Luna option appears, select “I want to dream.”
- When prompted, enter the Dream Address exactly as written, then confirm.
If the address is valid and the island is still in the Dream Library, you will arrive in the dream visit. If you receive an error, first recheck every character, since a single wrong digit sends you to a different island or to nothing. If the address is still rejected, the owner has most likely removed the island or changed its settings, and the only fix is to obtain a current address from the creator or a source that has been updated recently.

How to share your own Hogwarts island
If you built a Hogwarts island and want others to visit it, you upload it through Luna, which generates a Dream Address for you to share. The upload requires the same setup conditions listed above: a home with a bed, at least five residents, and the gates closed while you play solo. Keep in mind that an address you share works only while the island stays in your Dream Library. Removing it ends access for everyone who has the address.

There is no in-game directory of Hogwarts islands, so verification depends on trying the address yourself. A practical check:

- Take in-game photos of your designs and add them to your portfolio. Show them to other characters and you may get more requests to create vacation homes. Share the photos with other players using the in-game Showroom in the Happy Home Network app and they can tour your personally-designed resort islands or go tour theirs for some relaxation and inspiration.
- Purchase the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC from Nintendo eShop, or download and play it as part of an active Nintendo Switch Online plus Expansion Pack membership at no extra cost.
- Enter the address exactly as posted, including the DA- prefix and all dash-separated groups.
- Confirm you meet the requirements listed above before concluding the address is dead.
- If it fails, note that a failure may mean the owner removed the island, not that your setup is wrong.
- Compare the island’s details with the theme you wanted, since two islands can share a name or theme but differ in layout.
No source available here confirms whether any particular Hogwarts address is active today, so an address you find online should be tested before you rely on it.
