The fastest dinosaur Path of Titans’ developers have named is Struthiomimus. In a June 27, 2019 developer blog post, Alderon Games said it is the fastest animal in the game and faster than Latenivenatrix. That is a 2019 developer ranking, not a verified current leaderboard. The later official posts reviewed for this article do not restate the ranking, and none of them publishes comparable speed values, so the answer holds only as far as the developer’s own documentation goes.
What the developer said in 2019
The Struthiomimus section of Dev Blog #13, published June 27, 2019 by the official Path of Titans developer blog, contains the key sentence: “It is the fastest animal in the game, even faster than the Latenivenatrix.” The same post adds that Struthiomimus “requires a decent amount of time while running to build up to its top speed.” No individual speaker is named; the statement is attributed to the studio.
Why “top speed” needs a qualifier
The 2019 post separates two ideas that players often merge when they compare creatures:
- Peak speed is the highest speed Struthiomimus reaches while running. The developer ranks it at the top on this measure.
- Time to peak is the run-up needed to get there. The post says this takes a decent amount of time, so a standing start does not produce the ranked top speed.
Any comparison that measures a short burst from a standstill, rather than a sustained run, is therefore testing something different from the developer’s ranking.

The earlier 2019 description
An earlier official post, Dev Blog #5 dated March 15, 2019, also calls Struthiomimus “The fastest in the game” and says it “can outrun anything the moment it senses danger.” That wording is broad and promotional. The phrase “the moment it senses danger” does not fit the run-up caveat in the later, more specific June post. Treat the March post as historical flavor that agrees with the ranking, not as a measurement, and rely on the June post for the precise claim.
What each official source actually says
| Date | Official source | What it says about speed | How to use it |

| June 27, 2019 | Dev Blog #13 | Calls Struthiomimus the fastest animal in the game, faster than Latenivenatrix, and notes a run-up is needed to reach top speed | The developer’s explicit ranking, as of 2019 |
| October 27, 2024 | Latenivenatrix TLC Released! | Changes Latenivenatrix abilities that affect stamina and movement, including a nighttime burst ability; no baseline sprint speed is given | Shows the creature changed; does not settle the ranking |
| August 30, 2026 | Dev Blog – August 2026 | Describes ongoing balance monitoring and future adjustments; makes no comparative speed claim | Shows balance work continues; does not confirm or revise the ranking |
| September 30, 2026 | Dev Blog – September 2026 | Discusses dinosaur movement, turning and upcoming sprint visual effects; names no fastest dinosaur and gives no speed values | Current movement context only |
What has changed since 2019, and what has not
The Latenivenatrix TLC, released October 27, 2024, reworked abilities that influence stamina and movement, including a nighttime burst. Because the post gives no baseline sprint speed for either creature, it neither confirms nor overturns the 2019 comparison. It is a reason to be cautious about old head-to-head claims, not evidence that Latenivenatrix is faster or slower today.

- Attribute the ranking to the official developer blog and give the date, June 27, 2019.
- Say that the run-up matters, and that the post does not publish numerical speed values.
- Do not extend the ranking to every platform, server, ability build or patch without a newer official source.
- Treat player suggestions and community stat lists as opinion, not balance records.
Used this way, the answer is accurate: the developer named Struthiomimus the fastest animal in 2019, and the later official material neither confirms nor replaces that claim.
