The answer depends on the game mode and on what “fastest” means. In GTA V Story Mode, the four-seat car with the highest straight-line top speed in the most detailed community comparison available is the Dewbauchee Exemplar at 117.25 mph (188.70 km/h). On lap time, the same comparison puts the Karin Sultan first at 1:05.834. GTA Online is a separate question, and the sources reviewed here do not establish a current Online winner.
Top speed and lap time measure different things
A getaway car needs to reach high speed quickly and hold it on winding streets, so the two common measures pull in different directions. Top speed is the highest velocity a car reaches on a clear straight. Lap time captures acceleration, braking, cornering and the line through a track. The Story Mode comparison used here reports both, and the car that wins one does not always win the other. The author of the testing method also notes that top speed has little bearing on race performance compared with lap time, so a getaway choice should weigh both figures.

Story Mode: the four-seat cars compared
The most specific Story Mode comparison available is a community answer on Arqade, based on test runs attributed to Broughy1322 and last updated in December 2022. It covers four-seat cars usable in Story Mode and excludes Online-only vehicles unless they are modified into Story Mode. The figures below are reported test results, not official Rockstar statistics.
| Vehicle | Top speed (mph) | Top speed (km/h) | Lap time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dewbauchee Exemplar | 117.25 | 188.70 | 1:08.369 |
| Bravado Sprunk Buffalo | 116.00 | 186.68 | 1:07.234 |
| Karin Sultan | 115.75 | 186.28 | 1:05.834 |
| Bravado Buffalo S | 112.25 | 180.65 | 1:08.001 |
In this comparison the Exemplar leads on top speed, the Sprunk Buffalo is second, and the Karin Sultan is third on top speed. The Karin Sultan is the quickest of these four on lap time, which is why the answer splits by measure rather than naming one overall winner.

How the speed figures were produced
The test method is published by Broughy1322 and explains how the numbers were produced. Knowing the method helps you judge how far the figures apply to your own play.
- Runs: five runs per fully upgraded car, each kept as straight as possible with minimal controller input between two checkpoints.
- Distance: speed is measured over a 0.2-mile section and averaged across the runs.
- Rounding: results are rounded to the nearest 0.25 mph.
- Variables: road surfaces, boosts, mods, single-player abilities and steering input can all change the result.
- In-game readouts: the method describes in-game speedometer and menu stats as inaccurate, so they are not used as the benchmark.
Treat these numbers as controlled benchmarks. They show how the cars compare under the same conditions, not what any car will do on every road or in every race.

GTA Online: what can and cannot be said
Online has a different vehicle pool, and the Story Mode table does not transfer to it. Two sources touch on Online four-seat cars, and neither settles the question.
- Broughy1322’s video “Fastest 4 Seat Cars (2025)” was published on June 11, 2025. Its description says it ranks all four-seat cars by best lap time and top speed, counting down from position 10 to position 1. The retrieved page text does not show the individual results, so this article cannot name the Online winner from it. Watch the video itself for the ranking.
- Pegassi Toros: GTA 5 Rides describes it as a four-seat SUV, lists a Broughy-tested top speed of 127.5 mph, and gives a price of GTA$498,000. The page does not show a publication year. The Toros is a strong Online candidate on these figures, but it is not confirmed as the overall four-seat champion.
Because the 127.5 mph figure comes from a different listing than the Story Mode comparison, it should not be ranked directly against the Story Mode numbers.
