Roblox has no documented “rejoin” command. Its official support articles do not describe a chat command, typed phrase, or keyboard shortcut by that name. People who search for it usually want one of two things: to join a friend who is already in an experience, or to return to a Party they were part of. Both are handled through menus in the Roblox app and website, not by typing a command.
Joining a friend and rejoining a Party are different actions
Roblox treats these as separate features with separate starting points and requirements. Mixing them up is the most common reason the “rejoin” search leads to confusion.

How to join a friend who is playing
Roblox’s guide on following and joining other players describes the Join Experience option. Follow these steps:
- Search for the player’s username, or open their profile.
- If the player is currently in an experience and allows others to follow, select Join Experience.
- If the option is missing or joining fails, check whether the player allows joins and whether your account is allowed into that experience or server.

How to rejoin an active Party
Roblox’s Party FAQ says a previous active Party participant can rejoin or be reinvited. To return to a Party that is still active:
- Open Chat.
- Find the group with the active Party.
- Select Join.
If you do not see the Party option, check the current in-app controls. Party availability and communication features can depend on account settings and age-related eligibility, so the option may be unavailable on some accounts.

Does rejoining return you to the same server?
Not necessarily. According to the Party FAQ, when members join a Party, Roblox finds a server that can accommodate the participants, and Roblox keeps a link that lets members regroup. The official pages do not promise that you will return to the exact server instance you left. Searches for “rejoin the same server” reflect what players want, but Roblox does not document a dedicated option that guarantees it.
Why joining fails: Error Code 524
Error Code 524, “You do not have permission to join this game,” typically indicates a permission problem. Roblox lists these possible causes:

- Privacy settings that block your account
- A missing invitation, or you are not on the guest list for a private server
- The experience or server is unavailable
- A network or device problem
To work through it, check your privacy and private-server settings, confirm that the server owner has invited or listed you where required, and try again later if the server may be unavailable. If the error persists, check your connection and device.
