The perk adds crowd control
Excalibur’s perk blinds nearby enemies when you land heavy finishers or critical hits. In a fight against several opponents, that effect can create room to attack or reposition. Is Excalibur the best sword for every player?
No single weapon is established as best for every build or playstyle. Excalibur is a greatsword, and its listed speed is 40; its handling and attack rhythm differ from a short sword. A high attack value alone does not settle which weapon will feel strongest in play.

Ubisoft describes sword combat and dual wielding in its Assassin’s Creed Valhalla game information. Its update history also shows that weapon categories and rewards expanded over time: a River Raids update added unique weapons and gear, including a Great Sword. Neither source ranks one sword as the universal strongest.
How to get Excalibur
PC Gamer’s broad acquisition guidance says to collect the Treasures of Britain tablets, including three obtained from Zealots, then find Myrdinn’s Cave in Hamtunscire. Does Ubisoft officially call a sword the strongest?
No. The Ubisoft game and update pages cited here explain combat and describe additions to the game, but do not name an officially ranked strongest sword. Excalibur is the best-supported answer in the available weapon comparison evidence, not an official Ubisoft designation.
