Kenny Omega said All Might’s injury and declining power resonated with his experience after diverticulitis, inspiring him to bring the My Hero Academia hero into his AEW entrance. The reported entrance at AEW All In: London featured music from the anime and narration by Kenta Miyake, All Might’s Japanese voice actor.
What did Kenny Omega say about the entrance?
In remarks attributed to Omega from a Crunchyroll interview, he explained that All Might’s story struck a personal chord. Wrestling Inc.’s September 27, 2026 report transcribed Omega saying, “All Might incurred that terrible stomach injury,” and that “I have scars that are pretty much in the exact same spot.” He was referring to his own experience after diverticulitis; the comparison is his personal analogy, not a claim that the two injuries or their medical effects are equivalent.
Omega said he had wanted to build an armored version of the character for his entrance: “I really think that I’d like to do an armored All Might.” He described wanting the anime inspiration to carry through the entrance, theme, and match, rather than serve only as a costume reference. The quotations here are Wrestling Inc.’s published transcription of the Crunchyroll interview; the full interview was not directly reviewed for this account.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why All Might’s story resonated with Omega
Omega’s connection was rooted in the contrast between All Might’s heroic image and the physical limitations he faces after a serious stomach injury. Omega related that diminished ability to his own recovery experience. AEW’s official biography says diverticulitis sidelined Omega for “400-plus days” before his return in January 2025; that is the duration as AEW describes it, not a medical comparison with All Might.
