What you can play depends on the game, device, profile, and country—and Netflix’s announcements give dated snapshots rather than a guarantee that every feature is available everywhere.
Are Netflix games included with a subscription?
Yes. In its November 2, 2021 announcement, Netflix said its mobile games were included with a Netflix subscription, with no ads, extra fees, or in-app purchases. That describes the offer Netflix announced at the time; it is not a current, exhaustive list of compatible devices or available games.

Netflix’s later announcements describe games as part of the membership too. In June 2026, the company said Netflix Playground, its kids’ games space, was included with all memberships and had no ads or in-game transactions. Availability was beginning a global rollout, so the announcement does not establish that Playground is already available to every member.
Where can you play Netflix games?
Mobile: games on a phone or tablet
Netflix’s 2021 announcement described mobile games accessed through a member’s Netflix profile on Android and iOS devices, with some games playable offline. The announcement also said members could play on multiple mobile devices on the same account, subject to a device limit. Netflix’s current complete mobile catalog, compatibility requirements, and device limit are not established by that dated announcement.

TV: select games with a phone as controller
On October 9, 2025, Netflix announced TV party games planned for the holiday season. Its stated setup was to choose a game on the TV and use a phone as the controller; a separate game controller was not part of that announced setup. Netflix’s June 4, 2026 FIFA game announcement also described phone-as-controller play.
That June 2026 announcement said TV games were available in 20 countries at that time:

Kids and families: Netflix Playground
Netflix’s June 10, 2026 APAC announcement introduced Netflix Playground as a dedicated space for kids’ games and experiences within Netflix Games. It said Playground was beginning a global rollout. The announcement also said a KPop Demon Hunters collection of six minigames would join Playground on June 20, 2026; that date and collection should not be read as proof of present availability in every country.

How do Netflix profiles affect game access and saved games?
Profiles matter because Netflix ties game access and profile data to the account experience. Netflix’s 2021 mobile-games announcement said games were unavailable on kids profiles. It also said that if an adult profile was protected by a PIN, the PIN would be required to log in and play. Those are details from the 2021 mobile-gaming announcement, not a verified rule for every newer game or Playground feature.
Netflix says profile transfer preserves saved games along with recommendations, viewing history, My List, and settings. Its profile-transfer announcement, originally published in October 2022 and updated July 11, 2023 to allow transfers to an existing account, describes taking that profile information when starting a membership of your own. Netflix’s February 2023 account-sharing announcement also lists saved games among the profile data that can be retained.

This supports the narrower claim that saved games are part of the profile-transfer information Netflix says it preserves. It does not promise that every game’s internal save state, separate login, or other game-specific data will transfer.

Netflix’s February 2023 account-sharing announcement says an account is intended for use by one household. It describes managing account access and devices, using personal devices, and logging into a TV while travelling. Those general account statements provide context for games, but Netflix did not set out a separate game-sharing rule in that announcement.

The same announcement described extra-member options for eligible plans in many countries. Its examples and terms were specific to the time and places covered; they should not be treated as current, universal plan rules. For gaming, check the account and game access available to your profile and device rather than assuming that household or travel access guarantees a particular game will work in every location.
Quick Recap
What to check before starting a game
- Choose the screen: Mobile games and TV games are different access paths; the TV announcements describe a phone as the controller.
- Check your profile: The 2021 announcement excluded kids profiles from mobile games and required an adult-profile PIN when one was set.
- Check availability: A game or feature may depend on your country, device, and rollout timing. The TV country list above is dated June 2026.
- Moving profiles? Netflix says saved games are among the data preserved in profile transfer, but does not guarantee every game’s internal state or credentials.
