Open the Pokémon’s summary in Pokémon GO to see the Candy cost for its evolution. The Pokémon GO Help Center notes that some evolutions also require an item, task, trade, lure, or Buddy walking. The site lists catching Meltan, transferring it to Professor Willow, walking with it as your Buddy, and sending Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! as ways to obtain Meltan Candy.
