The available evidence does not verify whether OBS is still part of his setup, or which version, scenes, encoder or stream settings he uses.
What the report says—and what it does not confirm
A StreamYard search result titled “What Streaming Software Does Shroud Use? (And What You Should Use)” identifies OBS. The underlying page could not be retrieved, so the result is a limited secondary source rather than a first-hand disclosure. No first-party statement or configuration from Shroud was located to independently confirm the claim.
That means OBS is the best-supported answer available, not a verified account of Shroud’s current setup. There is no reliable basis here for attributing a particular OBS version, scene layout, encoder, bitrate or other setting to him.
Can you use OBS too?
Yes. OBS is a free, open-source broadcasting and recording application. The OBS Project’s official Help Portal says it has no watermarks or limitations on commercial use. The portal also says OBS contains no advertisements or bundled software, and warns that requests to pay for OBS are a scam. Get it from the OBS Project and use its Help Portal for installation and setup guidance.

Start with the general setup assistant
OBS recommends its Tools / Auto-Configuration Wizard to establish most basic settings. It is a practical starting point for your own computer and connection, not evidence of the settings Shroud uses. Review the resulting configuration and adjust it for your hardware, game, upload capacity and streaming platform.
Do not confuse Shroud’s reported software with Twitch’s list
Twitch’s official recommended-software page lists Streamlabs Desktop among common broadcasting tools. That listing does not document Shroud’s setup, and it is not evidence that he uses Streamlabs Desktop. The available report points to OBS; it does not establish an endorsement or a comparison between the two applications.
