What the reported gameplay footage shows
DLCompare reported on October 14, 2024 that a new video contained seven minutes of gameplay. Its account centers on a quest to save Norvik from a sleep curse: the player explores the area, reaches an underground lake and finds the Dreamstone needed for the quest. That sequence illustrates how traveling through the world can uncover a side objective and the item required to advance it.
The account is a report about the footage, not confirmation of the video’s official upload title. NintendoSoup published an overview-trailer report dated October 15, 2024, but the available reporting does not establish that it covered the same upload as DLCompare’s seven-minute segment.
How the remake presents its world
DLCompare describes the HD-2D presentation as updating environments, characters, monsters and battle direction while preserving a classic look. In the overworld, 2D characters appear within a 3D world. The footage therefore presents the remake as a visual modernization rather than a change to the basic adventure structure.

What the battle and monster features add
NintendoSoup’s overview-trailer report describes turn-based tactical combat. Vocations shape characters’ attributes and abilities, while adjustable battle speed and party behavior settings give players ways to tailor battles and how their team acts.
The same report highlights friendly-monster recruitment and tournaments held at arenas. These features add activities beyond the Norvik quest and ordinary exploration: players can seek out monsters and pit them against opponents in tournament battles.

Release and platform context
The game was reported as scheduled to launch on November 14, 2024 for Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Life’s game reference also lists editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and identifies Square Enix as publisher and Artdink as developer. The date is historical; those reports do not establish current price, stock or regional physical-edition availability.
