In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, catching the Ultra Beasts does not necessarily finish the postgame. After the credits, complete the Poni Grove encounter—Blacephalon in Ultra Sun or Stakataka in Ultra Moon—then continue into Episode RR. After that story arc, optional goals include exploring Ultra Wormholes, battling at the Battle Tree or Battle Agency, chasing Mantine Surf scores, and filling out the Alola Pokédex.
Finish the Poni Grove encounter first
After the credits, meet Hau and the Ultra Recon Squad and travel with them to Poni Island. The post-credits search takes place in Poni Grove, where the version-exclusive Ultra Beast appears: Blacephalon in Ultra Sun or Stakataka in Ultra Moon. The encounter uses Beast Balls. In the described event, the player catches two specimens to keep, while one caught by Hau goes to the Ultra Recon Squad and Aether Foundation. Source: IGN’s post-game guide.

This is a brief, version-specific story encounter—not a point at which every Ultra Beast has been caught. Ultra Wormholes are a separate route for finding Ultra Beasts and other Pokémon.
Continue the postgame story with Episode RR
After a break at home, Sophocles reports that Festival Plaza has been taken over. The story then moves from Festival Plaza to Aether Paradise and Team Rocket’s Castle, where Team Rainbow Rocket’s roster includes Giovanni and leaders from earlier villain teams. Episode RR is the next major story arc after the Poni Grove event. Serebii’s postgame walkthrough and Nintendo’s product page describe the postgame and game features.

Use Ultra Wormholes for more encounters
Once you want to keep collecting, explore Ultra Wormholes. They lead to Ultra Beast home worlds and can also produce Legendary Pokémon. Available encounters differ between Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, so a player aiming for every species may need trades or access to both versions. Nintendo notes that some encounters vary by game and that the two versions together offer access to the prior-series Legendary Pokémon described on its page. Choose an optional postgame goal
After Episode RR, the remaining activities are open-ended. Pick the kind of challenge you want rather than treating these as required story steps.
Battle Tree
Take on successive battles at the Battle Tree if you want a combat-focused challenge.
Battle Agency
The Battle Agency offers three-on-three Single Battles using borrowed Pokémon. Nintendo lists Festival Coins and rare items among its rewards. Nintendo’s feature description.

Do not follow the original Sun and Moon Ultra Beast mission
If a walkthrough sends you to a motel to work with Looker and Anabel on a multi-island Ultra Beast investigation, it is describing Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, that longer Looker and Anabel quest is replaced by the Poni Grove Blacephalon or Stakataka encounter, followed by Episode RR. IGN’s post-game guide.
