What should I watch after Avengers: Endgame?
For a manageable first pass, use this release-era path. It keeps the immediate follow-up first, then branches into major character and story threads rather than treating every title as essential.
- Spider-Man: Far From Home — the direct theatrical follow-up to Endgame, and the clearest first look at a world changed by the Blip. Marvel lists it among the films related to Endgame on its Endgame page.
- WandaVision — begin here for Wanda and Vision’s story, which continues in Agatha All Along.
- The Falcon and the Winter Soldier — follow the post-Blip world through the question of who takes up Captain America’s legacy.
- Loki, Seasons 1 and 2 — choose this for the multiverse and a branch created by the events of the Avengers’ time heist.
- Later film branches: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Pick based on the characters or storylines you want to continue.
- More character and team stories: Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Secret Invasion, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and The Marvels. These expand particular corners of the MCU rather than forming one required sequence.
- Agatha All Along — the next stop if you want to continue the story connected to WandaVision.
Marvel’s official timeline article names these films and shows among the titles in its chronology discussion, but this selective path is not a complete chronology or a claim that every entry is required. Marvel’s timeline article provides the full title context.
Should I watch in release-era order or MCU timeline order?
For a first catch-up, release-era order is easier to follow: you encounter the stories in the order they were introduced, and can choose which branches to pursue. If your priority is where events fall in the fictional chronology, Marvel points viewers to its timeline-ordered MCU collection on Disney+. Marvel also describes its official timeline book as a guide to what happened, when, and where.

Do I need to watch Loki after Endgame?
No. Watch it if you want the multiverse branch, not because it is a direct continuation of the main post-Endgame present. Marvel says Loki resumes after Endgame, but its first episode follows a variant who escapes during the Avengers’ 2012 time-heist events and takes the Tesseract after the team’s mistake. Is VisionQuest out yet?
As of October 4, 2026, Marvel’s TV catalog listed VisionQuest for October 14, 2026, so it was upcoming on that date. Marvel describes it as the final installment in a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. Is there an official Marvel timeline book?
Yes. Marvel Studios: The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline is a visual companion created with Marvel Studios. Marvel says it follows the story through the Blip and beyond and was available wherever books are sold. It is optional; it is most useful if you want a physical chronology reference.
