Notebookcheck reported the game on July 17, 2025, after a storefront refresh showed it as the next giveaway. Its report described the identification as leak-based; the Epic pages available for reference explain the general promotion but do not independently confirm this past title. Notebookcheck’s July 17 report and the archived schedule provide the historical identification and timing.
What kind of game is Legion TD 2?
Notebookcheck describes Legion TD 2 as a strategic tower-defense game with competitive and cooperative play. Its report says players deploy fighters between rounds to defend a team’s king against waves, with campaign and multiplayer options including 2v2 and 4v4 matchmaking. These details are from that secondary report, rather than an official game page retrieved for this article.

- A Relentless Campaign: There is no taking cover or stopping to regenerate health as you beat back Hell's raging demon hordes
- Return of id Multiplayer: Dominate your opponents in DOOM's signature, fast-paced arena-style combat
- Near-Limitless Gameplay: DOOM SnapMap - A powerful, but easy-to-use game and level editor that allows for limitless gameplay experiences on every platform
Notebookcheck stated a $24.99 value in its 2025 article. That is the report’s dated figure, not a verified current price. The same article cited a contemporaneous Steam snapshot of 86% positive from more than 11,000 reviews; those figures should not be read as today’s rating or review count.
How Epic’s weekly free-game claims generally work
Epic Support says a new free game is available every Thursday at 8 AM PT and remains claimable for seven days. It also says an Epic account with two-factor authentication enabled is required, and that a claimed game stays in the account permanently even if it is not downloaded immediately. These are general rules for Epic’s weekly promotions, not evidence that Legion TD 2 is still claimable.
