Mirrorwatch was a limited-time, non-canon Overwatch 2 event that ran from April 23 to May 13, 2024, during Season 10. What was Mirrorwatch?
Mirrorwatch was a temporary alternate-universe event in which Overwatch 2 characters took on different identities and moral alignments. Heroes became villains and villains became heroes, creating a mirror version of the game’s familiar world.

Blizzard explicitly described Mirrorwatch as non-canon. Its reversed allegiances and personas were part of the event scenario, not a change to the main Overwatch story. The event was part of Season 10, titled “Venture Forth”; Mirrorwatch was not the name of the season.
When did Mirrorwatch run?
Blizzard announced that Mirrorwatch would be available from April 23 through May 13, 2024. The launch announcement on April 23 also gave May 13 as the end date. That was the announced event window; the announcements do not establish whether it has returned since.

What changed in the event?
Reimagined character abilities
Blizzard highlighted altered abilities that reflected the characters’ new roles. Examples in its Season 10 announcement included Strike Commander Doomfist’s Power Block shield, Vengeance Mercy’s Soul Burn detonation, and Agent Colomar Sombra’s Anti-Virus Ultimate. These were event-specific twists on familiar characters, rather than evidence of changes to the main game’s ongoing story.
A Talon-controlled Watchpoint Gibraltar
The event also featured a redesigned Watchpoint Gibraltar under Talon’s control. The changed setting reinforced the alternate-universe premise by putting players in a familiar location presented through a different faction’s perspective.

The announced event ended May 13, 2024. The official announcements cited here provide no information confirming a rerun or current availability, so Mirrorwatch should be understood as a historical, limited-time event—not a mode players can be assumed to enter today.
