The season, titled Wrecked, began May 24 and included Fallout-themed cosmetics in the Battle Pass and Item Shop. Bethesda later confirmed the lineup, including a T-60 Power Armor Outfit, an animated Pip-Boy back bling and a Codsworth emote.
When did Fortnite tease the Fallout crossover?
Fortnite’s official account posted teaser imagery on May 17, 2024. GameSpot reported that it appeared to reference Fallout’s Power Armor and Vault Boy, while noting that the exact crossover contents were not yet clear. GameSpot’s May 17 report covered the initial teaser.
A follow-up clip drew attention to T-60 Power Armor and other shapes that might have been weapons or items. Those interpretations were not all confirmed by Bethesda. GameSpot’s May 22 follow-up distinguished the confirmed armor from uncertain teaser details.
What Fallout content was confirmed?
Chapter 5 Season 3, Wrecked, began May 24, 2024. Bethesda’s May 29 retrospective said Fallout cosmetics were part of the season’s Battle Pass and Shop, and listed these items:

- Codsworth emote.
- Vault Boy emoticons.
- Power armor spray.
- Vault Boy back bling: Bethesda said to watch for it in the Shop.
Bethesda framed the crossover around the season’s wasteland setting, writing: “The season name for Fortnite: Battle Royale is Wrecked, and what’s more wrecked than the Wasteland?” The sentence appears in Bethesda’s May 29, 2024 retrospective.
What was in the Battle Pass, and what was in the Shop?
Bethesda confirmed that Fallout cosmetics appeared across the Battle Pass and Shop, but its item descriptions do not establish a complete placement-by-item breakdown for every listed cosmetic. It specifically said to watch for the Vault Boy back bling in the Shop. The retrospective does not establish present-day availability, return dates, prices or unlock requirements.

What was only suggested by the teasers?
Visual details in the May 21 teaser were interpreted as possible weapons or other items in contemporaneous coverage, but Bethesda’s confirmed list is the reliable guide to what was included. GameSpot also mentioned a possible Mad Max connection as unannounced at the time; it should not be treated as part of the confirmed Fallout collaboration.

The cited 2024 coverage documents what the collaboration included then, not whether any item can be obtained now. It does not confirm that Shop cosmetics have returned, whether they are currently available, or what they cost. Check Fortnite’s current in-game Shop and Battle Pass information for live availability rather than relying on the historical announcement.
