What is behind the Bouncer?
The Bouncer stands at the rear entrance to the Oasis, blocking access to the Casino until the player completes The Mysterious Qi quest. Once you have the Club Card, you can enter the Casino. The Bouncer then disappears, though the game’s documented explanation does not say why. The Stardew Valley Wiki’s Bouncer entry records his location and behavior.

The Casino is operated by Mr. Qi, who is inside when it is open. On meeting the player there, he calls it “my exclusive clubhouse.” That line connects Mr. Qi to the venue; it does not establish who employs the Bouncer. The Mr. Qi entry describes the Casino and the quest that unlocks it.
How to get past the Bouncer
Complete The Mysterious Qi quest. Its clues lead through these steps:

- Place a Battery Pack in the lock-box in the tunnel.
- Put 10 beets in Mayor Lewis’s fridge.
- Give a Solar Essence to the sand dragon.
- Inspect the lumber pile beside the farmhouse.

No Joja connection is established in the cited game lore. The available references do not name the Bouncer, identify an employer, or reveal a backstory. Sandy offers a cryptic remark about him: “That shady-looking guy in the back? I’m not supposed to talk about it.” It reinforces the mystery, but it is not evidence that he works for Joja.

So the grounded answer is narrower than the title’s Joja framing: the Bouncer is a gatekeeper for Mr. Qi’s Casino, and the game leaves his identity and reason for vanishing unexplained. A Joja affiliation can be discussed as a fan theory, but it should not be presented as canon.
