What is Wheel World?
Developed by Messhof and published by Annapurna Interactive, Wheel World launched on July 23, 2025. You play as Kat, a cyclist chosen by ancient cycling spirits, and set out to race elite teams, collect bike parts and complete the Great Shift. The official Steam listing describes the premise and identifies the game as single-player.
The game combines free-roaming exploration with structured bicycle races. As you ride through its stylized world, you encounter rival cyclists and find components to customize your bike. It is less a pure racing simulator than an adventure built around riding, collecting and competing.
How does it play?
GamesRadar’s review describes a compact world and roughly two dozen staged races. Its reviewer praised the riding mechanics, soundtrack and comic tone, finding the overall experience enjoyable and unbloated. The review also notes that optional objectives can make some races feel unevenly difficult, while gear shifting felt distracting to that reviewer.

Those are one critic’s impressions, not a guarantee of how every player will experience the handling or challenge. GamesRadar reviewed the PC version using a publisher-provided code, so its observations should not be treated as a verified assessment of console performance.
How long is Wheel World?
GamesRadar estimated that a completionist run would take no more than about ten hours. That is the reviewer’s estimate, not an official playtime figure; time will depend on how thoroughly you explore and pursue optional race objectives.

Which platforms can you play it on?
Official listings establish availability on PC/Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Wire also announced Xbox Play Anywhere support for Xbox and Windows PC. The cited review covers the PC version, and the available platform sources do not establish comparable frame rates, resolutions, accessibility options or performance across systems.
For a purchase decision, check the current listing and price on the platform you use. Steam showed a $19.99 price and a game-plus-soundtrack bundle in its listing; storefront prices and offers can change, so that figure should not be assumed to be current.

Who is Wheel World for?
It is a natural fit if you want a lighthearted biking adventure where exploring and upgrading your ride matter alongside races. If you mainly want consistently demanding, objective-driven competition, note GamesRadar’s criticism that optional race goals can introduce difficulty spikes. Its review praised the relaxed, compact-world approach rather than presenting the game as a deep simulation.
