Its advice is to play in the way that is most fun. The progression guide likewise describes endgame as having no endpoint. Neither source identifies a required final ending.
That makes “finished” a goal you choose, not a game-mandated state. If you want a finite target, achievement completion can serve as your finish line. If you enjoy continuing to grow your totals, you can keep playing instead.

The 365-prestige and 1-trevigintillion figures come from a community progression guide; the retrieved sources do not state its publication year or confirm the threshold against a specific current game version. Treat them as guide milestones rather than promises about every platform or version.

When should you ascend?
Ascending is a reset within ongoing progression, not the same choice as quitting. The Legacy page describes it as resetting progress while granting Prestige levels and Heavenly Chips for future runs. Those two benefits are earned at a 1:1 ratio.
The ascension guide gives minimum thresholds, not an instruction to reset the instant you reach one. It notes that waiting beyond a listed threshold can let you buy upgrades recommended for a later ascension milestone. Whether to wait depends on your preferred pace and whether you want to keep progressing in the current run; the guide recognizes both active and idle play.

- If you mean “Should I reset?” Use an ascension milestone as a planning aid, then decide whether the benefits of resetting now suit your run.
- If you mean “Should I quit?” Treat that as a separate personal decision. Ascending does not complete the game or require you to stop.
What does “You can stop now” mean?
A Fandom Ascension page reports an achievement named “You can stop now,” described as requiring 1 sextillion cookies baked in one ascension. That is an achievement milestone, not evidence that the game has a final ending. The available source does not establish whether its exact wording or availability matches every current version, so check the achievement in your game if that detail matters to your goal.

Make your own finish line
- For an early progression goal, use the guide’s first-ascension marker as a reference, not a rule.
- For a longer completionist run, aim for the guide’s cookie-achievement threshold, understanding that it is version-sensitive.
- If neither target sounds enjoyable, choose a smaller personal goal—or stop playing without completing a checklist.
