The reported review embargo for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was Friday, August 22, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (PT). That was six days before Konami’s announced August 28 release date.
What time did Metal Gear Solid Delta reviews go live?
Insider Gaming reported the embargo time as 12:01 a.m. PT on August 22, 2025. Its August 5 report attributed the timing to reviewer Destin Legarie, who wrote that coverage would be live at that time. The report is not a Konami-published embargo notice, so this is best described as the reported schedule rather than an official publisher confirmation. Insider Gaming’s report

How did that compare with the release date?
Konami announced that the game would release on August 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The reported review embargo therefore fell six days before release. Konami’s US release-date announcement
Why might a review page show a different date?
An outlet’s displayed review publication timestamp is not necessarily the same thing as the reported embargo time. For example, GameSpot’s review page displays August 21, 2025, at 12:52 a.m. PDT. That is the timestamp shown on that page; it does not replace the reported August 22 embargo time of 12:01 a.m. PT. GameSpot’s review
