The Ninja Gaiden 4 review embargo was reported to lift on October 20, 2025, at 4 p.m. Pacific Time (7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central). That time came from a community review thread and is consistent with a review timestamp on PC Gamer, but no official publisher notice confirming it was located.
The embargo time, converted for each time zone
The reported embargo was a single moment, not a regional schedule. A community review thread for the game stated the embargo “officially lifts today, 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 6 PM CT,” which places the lift on October 20, 2025. Reviewers and readers in other regions can use the conversions below.
| Time zone | Reported embargo time (October 20, 2025) |
|---|---|
| Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) | 4:00 p.m. |
| Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) | 7:00 p.m. |
| Central Daylight Time (CDT) | 6:00 p.m. |
| Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) | 11:00 p.m. (23:00 UTC) |
The UTC figure is the most reliable reference point for readers outside North America. A PC Gamer review page carries a 23:00 UTC timestamp on the same date, which matches 4 p.m. PDT. That match supports the reported time, though the timestamp itself does not state the embargo rule.
Why the release date shows October 21 on some pages
Several official and store listings do not agree on the date. Xbox’s game page and PlatinumGames’ official page both list October 21, 2025 as the release date. Xbox Wire published an “Available Today” announcement dated October 20, 2025, and Steam lists October 20, 2025 as the release date.

How much weight to give the embargo time
Two kinds of evidence support the 4 p.m. PT figure, and they differ in strength. The first is the community review thread, which states the time explicitly but is reader-written rather than an official announcement. The second is the PC Gamer timestamp, which independently lines up with that time. Together they make the reported time well supported, but no official Xbox, PlatinumGames, or Team NINJA statement on the embargo was found. Cite the time as reported, and avoid describing it as officially confirmed by the publisher.

No competing embargo times were established in the sources, so the practical question is only which time zone a reader needs.
If you need the time for a different date or event
Because the embargo is a one-time review lift, it does not recur. For any future title, check whether the publisher or outlet has stated an embargo time directly, and convert it from the time zone given. When a time is listed only as “10 a.m. PT,” the UTC conversion is 17:00 UTC during daylight saving time and 18:00 UTC during standard time.
