Rockstar has not announced a PC release date for Grand Theft Auto VI. Take-Two’s current release table lists the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, but does not list PC. That means there is no confirmed PC launch window to report—and no basis to treat a rumored date as official.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
There is no confirmed PC release date in the official materials available as of October 3, 2026. Take-Two’s current announced-release table names PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for GTA VI, with no PC listing. Rockstar’s official GTA VI page presents the game but does not announce a PC date.
The absence of a PC date is not an announcement that the game will never come to PC. It simply means Rockstar and Take-Two have not confirmed a PC launch date or window in the cited current materials.
What is the confirmed GTA 6 release date?
Take-Two lists November 19, 2026 as the announced release date for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions. This is a console date, not a PC date.

The previously announced date of May 26, 2026 is no longer the current schedule. Take-Two announced that earlier date in May 2025 after moving the game from Fall 2025; the later November 19, 2026 schedule supersedes it. The earlier announcement included CEO Strauss Zelnick’s statement that the company supported Rockstar taking additional time to realize its creative vision. What has Take-Two’s CEO said about PC?
On September 18, 2026, PC Gamer reported comments from Take-Two chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick at the company’s annual meeting. Asked about platform cadence, he described Take-Two’s general strategy as launching on platforms with a meaningful audience, while noting that this is not always possible and that PC is becoming more important to the company over time. He did not announce a GTA VI PC version or give it a release date in the reported remarks.

|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | PS5 and Xbox Series X|S |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | PS5 and Xbox Series X|S |
These are console editions, not evidence of a PC edition or its price. Check the current listing for your region and platform before buying. Details are in Take-Two’s GTA VI pre-order announcement.
Does the physical edition include a disc?
No. Rockstar Support says the physical version is a box containing a download code, not a disc. Rockstar also warns that code redemption can depend on the region of the platform account. Before purchasing, confirm that the code is compatible with your platform and account region. The format and region details are in Rockstar Support’s platform, editions, and versions article.

Should PC players wait or choose a console version?
The decision depends on whether you want to play at the currently announced launch or wait for a PC announcement:
- Wait for PC: This avoids buying a console version, but no PC date or launch window is confirmed.
- Play at the announced launch: The listed November 19, 2026 date applies to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The announced Standard and Ultimate editions are for those consoles.
- Check format and region before buying a boxed copy: It contains a code rather than a disc, and redemption may be restricted by platform-account region.
The available announcements do not establish whether a future PC edition will have different features, performance, pricing, or an upgrade path. A forecast based on past Rockstar releases or general executive comments would be speculation, not a confirmed GTA VI schedule.
