Diablo.trade is the community listing site most often named for Diablo IV item trades, but it is run by a third party, not Blizzard. In-game trading is the other main route. The sources available for this guide do not establish which venue is the most active or the safest today, so check current listings and trade formats yourself before you hand over items or gold.
The options at a glance
| Option | What it is | What the sources say | Check before using |
|---|---|---|---|
| In-game trading | Trading built into Diablo IV itself | Temporarily suspended in October 2023 during a duplication exploit response and re-enabled on October 28, 2023 (Blizzard update, Oct. 28, 2023) | Current patch notes, since the 2023 notices describe that period only |
| Diablo.trade | Third-party community listing site | Not operated by Blizzard. A Blizzard forum thread from February 2024 discusses confusion over whether it is “official” (forum discussion, Feb. 5, 2024) | Whether listings are active now, and how the site handles disputes |
| D4 Trade Market | Community-made Android app | A player post from July 4, 2025, describes listings for gear, boss summon materials, elixirs and services for in-game gold, tied to the Season 9 update (player post, July 4, 2025) | Current availability: not stated in any source reviewed |
| Community Discord servers | Player-run trade channels | An April 6, 2026 Reddit thread asks where to trade after the Sanctuary Discord “doesn’t seem to work anymore.” The thread does not explain why | Whether the server is still running and moderated |
In-game trading: what the official record shows
Blizzard’s own notices cover two dates. On October 23, 2023, Blizzard announced a suspension of trading tied to a duplication exploit (Blizzard notice, Oct. 23, 2023). Trading returned on October 28, 2023. Those are the most recent official trading status posts the sources identify. They tell you that in-game trading exists and has been turned off before, but they do not describe the rules that apply in October 2026.

Players often describe duplicated gold and bans as a reason for caution. One August 2023 Blizzard forum post asks, “I keep reading about duped gold and bans” (forum discussion, Aug. 15, 2023). That is a player’s question, not a finding about how common either problem is.
Third-party sites and apps
Diablo.trade
Diablo.trade is a listing site that players associate with Diablo IV trading. It is not a Blizzard product, and the February 2024 Blizzard forum discussion shows players themselves debating whether the word “official” applies. Treat any listing as the seller’s offer, and confirm item details in-game before you trade. Recent reports on the site’s current listing volume or response times were not found, so judge its activity by looking at the listings you see.

#1 Best Overall
D4 Trade Market
D4 Trade Market is a community-made Android app. The July 2025 player post presents it as a gear and services marketplace for the Season 9 period and lists boss summon materials and elixirs among its categories. Because the post dates from that season, confirm the app still works and is still in use before relying on it. The post is the only source for its features.
Community Discord servers
Discord trade channels depend on volunteer moderators and can change or close without notice. The April 2026 Reddit question shows that a server players relied on had stopped working for at least one user. If you use a server, check its most recent messages first.

Choosing a venue
Three questions narrow the choice:
- What kind of trade are you making? Players in the April 2026 thread asked for rune-for-rune swaps or in-game currency exchanges. Check whether a venue lists the item type you need.
- Do you want a website, an app or an in-game channel? A website works on any device. An app such as D4 Trade Market is tied to Android. In-game trading needs no outside account but depends on Blizzard’s current rules.
- Are listings active right now? Compare the newest listings on each venue. Old listings tell you little about current activity.
Before any trade
- Never share your Battle.net password or send login details to another player, whichever venue you use.
- Confirm the item or gold amount in-game before completing the exchange.
- Be skeptical of offers that seem too good to be true, especially any that involve duplicated items.
- Check the current Blizzard patch notes before assuming any trade is allowed.
