Shadowy Vanquisher is a family name covering several Tier 14 armor-slot tokens, so confirm the full item name in your bags before you travel, because the source boss and the reward depend on the slot.
Confirm which Shadowy Vanquisher token you have
The name is shared across slots. The item references list four tokens, each dropped by a different raid boss. Read the full name on the token in your inventory and match it to the table below.
| Slot | Full item name | Source boss listed in item references |
|---|---|---|
| Shoulders | Shoulders of the Shadowy Vanquisher | Lei Shi |
| Helm | Helm of the Shadowy Vanquisher | Sha of Fear |
| Chest | Chest of the Shadowy Vanquisher | Grand Empress Shek’zeer |
| Gauntlets | Gauntlets of the Shadowy Vanquisher | Wind Lord Mel’jarak |
The item pages list Druid, Rogue, Death Knight, and Mage as eligible classes. Each token creates a class-set item appropriate to your loot specialization. Reward details vary by slot and by token version, so the item tooltip is the final check on what you will receive.
Where to turn in the token
Travel to Townlong Steppes, find Niuzao Temple, and speak with Commander Oxheart. The item-specific references identify him as the exchange NPC for these tokens. No physical item is needed to complete the exchange.
#1 Best Overall
Commander Oxheart is the only exchange location named in the item-specific sources. The sources do not list coordinates, a route, prerequisites, or faction-specific directions, so this guide does not add any.
Why some search results point somewhere else
Vintage Is The New Old, in an article on this exact question published and updated 2023-11-09, names Commander Oxheart at Niuzao Temple for the gauntlet and helm tokens. That corroborates the item references for those two slots.

A CyberPost article on the same question, published 2026-02-03, instead names Arko’jinn in Qeynos. That answer does not match any Shadowy Vanquisher item in the item references, and its location conflicts with the Townlong Steppes location those references give. Do not use it for these tokens.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Version limits and what the sources do not settle
The item references are game-reference wiki pages. They do not reconcile current retail World of Warcraft with Mists of Pandaria Classic, so the exact NPC placement and token availability may differ between the two. If you cannot find Commander Oxheart at Niuzao Temple, or the token does not show the slot and class you expect, check which game version you are playing and compare the item tooltip with the table above.

The sources also do not establish a source for the Chest and Shoulders tokens’ exchange beyond the item-specific references, and no independent second source corroborates those two slots in the material reviewed.
The four source bosses above are the sources the item pages list. If your token came from a different boss, treat that as a version or edition difference and check the item tooltip before assuming the exchange location is unchanged.
