Find Belthasar’s final message there to receive the time machine. It can travel through time at first, but it cannot fly until a later story event gives it the Wings of Time.
How to get the Epoch
- Progress through the story until the party reaches 2300 AD.
- Go to the Keeper’s Dome and find Belthasar’s final message.
- Follow the message to obtain the Epoch.
Earlier time travel uses gates. The Epoch becomes available later in the story, after the party’s journey through the future leads them to the Dome. Walkthroughs support this route, though the available sources are secondary guides rather than official publisher documentation.

What the Epoch can do when you first get it
At first, the Epoch lets you travel through time but cannot fly. Its flight capability comes later, after the Blackbird sequence, when it receives the Wings of Time.
If the Epoch seems to be missing
If you already obtained the Epoch and cannot find it later, consider where you are in the Blackbird sequence. Walkthroughs describe the machine being taken and then recovered in connection with that event; its recovery is associated with the Wings of Time upgrade.
