Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Rukhmar spawns in the air over the Spires of Arak on Draenor, near the Skyreach dungeon area. Because she is a flying boss, the spawn point is not a spot you can stand on and wait for, and the most useful search tactic is to look in the sky above the Skyreach platforms.
Where Rukhmar appears
Rukhmar is located in the Spires of Arak zone on Draenor. The community-reported starting point is the coordinate /way 37.40, 38.59, which places you on the mountain-side platforms near Skyreach, south of Apexis Excavation and north of Axefall. Treat that coordinate as a starting point rather than a guaranteed pin, since she spawns in the air and not at ground level.
How to find her
- Travel to the Spires of Arak and head for the Skyreach area, using the coordinate above as your waypoint.
- Scan the sky around the platforms rather than the ground. Rukhmar is airborne from the moment she spawns.
- If she is not at the coordinate, look for her flying elsewhere in the zone. Player comments on Wowhead’s Rukhmar NPC page describe a broad flight path after spawn, so she may be some distance from the point when you arrive.
- If she is left alone, she can keep moving away from the spawn area, so a long wait without engaging may mean she has drifted.
Respawn timing
A respawn of roughly 15 minutes is commonly reported, but the figure comes from player observations on Wowhead, and those reports vary. Blizzard has not published a confirmed timer for Rukhmar in the sources reviewed, so plan around the estimate rather than treating it as exact.
Evidence and limits
The location, coordinate, flight behavior and timer come from Wowhead’s Rukhmar NPC page and its player comments. Those observations describe how the boss has been found in the community, not a guarantee from Blizzard, and the page does not establish whether conditions have changed in later patches.

Blizzard’s 6.1.2 hotfix notes from May 22, 2015 document a movement change: “Rukhmar now moves faster and can also move while channeling Solar Breath.” That note confirms how she moves, but it does not state her spawn coordinate or timer. A separate 6.0.3 hotfix note from February 17, 2015 raised spawn rates for creatures and NPCs in the Skettis Ruins area, which is a different zone and does not change Rukhmar’s location.
Because the most detailed guidance dates from the Warlords of Draenor era, check current Wowhead comments before a run if you are playing on a later expansion or a server where the boss may behave differently.

Searching for her
If you searched for “What is the spawn timer for Rukhmar?”, the answer is the approximately 15-minute estimate above. For the location itself, the search question is the same as the one in this article: start at the Skyreach coordinate and look up.
