There is no single best credit farm for every Warframe account. The Index on Neptune is the most dependable starting point for newer players, Höllvania Techrot safes can offer a fast credit drop if you can find the safe, and Profit-Taker suits veterans who have the required progression and a practiced loadout. Which one is best for you depends on what you have unlocked and how comfortable you are with each activity.
Most of the payout figures below come from a third-party guide by Orikon, updated September 27, 2026. They are reported values, not official current reward tables, so confirm them in your own game before planning around them.
Why there is no single answer
Each route gates access differently, pays out on a different schedule, and asks for different preparation. A route that is fast for a veteran with a tuned build can be a poor choice for someone who has not yet reached the area that unlocks it. There is also no consistent, current credits-per-minute comparison across these four options. Any ranking that puts one route clearly ahead on time efficiency would be invented, so the comparison below focuses on access, reported payout per success, execution difficulty, and reward reliability.
The four routes compared
| Route | Access requirement | Reported reward | Main caveats |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Index, Neptune | Dedicated credit wager activity; you must have enough points to stake | 50,000 credits to enter High Risk; 250,000 on a won round, or 200,000 net after the stake (Orikon, 2026) | A lost round forfeits the stake. Live values need checking. |
| Höllvania Techrot safe | Höllvania access; you must locate the safe | 100,000 base credits (Orikon, 2026) | Safe discovery and current eligibility are not confirmed by official documentation. Multiplier claims are from the guide only. |
| Profit-Taker | Old Mate rank with Solaris United, then acceptance of the ordered Profit-Taker Bounties from Eudico (Digital Extremes, Update 24.2) | 125,000 credits per kill (Orikon, 2026) | Current official confirmation of the reward was not found. Requires a practiced build and familiarity with its shield phases. |
| Railjack | Railjack progression and access to Proxima regions | Historical end-of-mission ranges from Digital Extremes, Update 27.4.3 (2020): Earth Proxima 30,000–45,000; Saturn Proxima 50,000–75,000; Veil Proxima 80,000–150,000 per mission. Current figure: not stated. | These are 2020 patch-note ranges, not current payouts, and they do not establish Railjack as the most efficient farm. |
The Index on Neptune
The Index is a credit wager activity rather than a loot route. The Orikon guide presents it as reliable and especially suitable for newer players, because the reward structure is straightforward once you are in the activity. The trade-off is risk: you stake credits to enter and lose that stake if the round is lost, so the guide’s 200,000-credit net figure applies only to a won round. Before you commit, check the current stake and payout in the activity itself, along with any booster behavior the guide describes, since those specifics were not verified against official documentation.

#1 Best Overall
Höllvania Techrot safes
According to the Orikon guide, a Techrot safe can carry a 100,000-credit base drop, and a safe can be marked by a SHELL CRACKER bounty. The route suits players who already have Höllvania access and are willing to search for the objective. Two things remain unconfirmed: how reliably you will find a safe on a given run, and whether the multiplier claims in the guide hold in the current game. Treat the 100,000-credit figure as a planning estimate until you have seen it on your own account.
Profit-Taker
Profit-Taker is the endgame option. Digital Extremes’ Update 24.2 notes set the access sequence: you need Old Mate rank with Solaris United, and you must accept the ordered Profit-Taker Bounties from Eudico. The Orikon guide reports 125,000 credits per kill, but current official confirmation of that reward was not found, so verify it on your first kill.
Rank #2
Warframe.Today, a third-party guide, names Chroma as a default Profit-Taker pick and says Effigy doubles credit payout. This is community build advice rather than official confirmation. Treat it as one reported loadout option, not a requirement or a guaranteed result.
Railjack
Railjack is a secondary option for players who already run Railjack missions. Digital Extremes’ Update 27.4.3 notes stated: “Railjack Missions now reward more Credits at End of Mission to tie some of the main currencies into the reward structure more heavily.” The per-mission ranges from that update are from 2020, so they describe the older reward structure, not current relative value.

Which route fits your account
- Newer player wanting a repeatable credit activity: Start with the Index if it is unlocked and you can afford the stake. Budget for losses; the stake is not guaranteed back.
- Player progressing through Höllvania: Try Techrot safes if you can locate the objective. Plan around the guide’s 100,000-credit base figure until you confirm it yourself.
- Veteran with the Fortuna progression and a tuned build: Profit-Taker is the route to test, with the access sequence above as your gate. Check the reward on the first kill before relying on it.
- Player already running Railjack: Treat Railjack credits as a bonus on top of the missions you already play, not as a standalone farm.
What is confirmed and what is not
- Confirmed by Digital Extremes: the Profit-Taker access sequence (Update 24.2) and the 2020 Railjack reward ranges (Update 27.4.3).
- Reported by the Orikon guide (updated September 27, 2026), not verified against current official tables: the Index payouts, the Techrot safe base drop and its multiplier claims, and the Profit-Taker kill reward.
- Not established: a measured credits-per-minute comparison across these routes, and any named player’s endorsement of one route.
Because the figures are reported rather than official, the most reliable check is your own records. Note the credit total before and after several runs of the same activity, and compare that with the figures above.
