In Roblox Studio, open Window → Properties to show the Properties window. You can also open it from the Home tab toolbar. Select an object in Explorer or in the 3D viewport to see that object’s settings.
Open the Properties window
- In the Studio menu bar, choose Window → Properties.
- Alternatively, open Properties from the Home tab toolbar.
- Select an object in Explorer or the 3D viewport. The window displays properties for the current selection.
Roblox describes Properties as visible by default, but you can reopen it from either access point if it is closed. See Roblox’s Studio interface overview.
Why the panel may not be where you expect
Studio windows do not have one fixed screen position. The Properties window can be docked, grouped with other windows as a tab, pinned to an edge, or floated separately. If you cannot see it, use Window → Properties to bring it up, then check whether it is grouped or positioned elsewhere in the Studio layout. Roblox illustrates window arrangements in its interface overview.
Why Properties looks empty or shows unexpected settings
The window reflects the current selection; it is not a universal list of every setting in your place. Click an object in Explorer or the 3D viewport to update what it displays. The available settings depend on the selected object. For a part, Roblox’s example includes properties such as color, size, material, and transparency.
