Vavak’s key is inside the privy in the backyard of his house in Kuttenberg. Look for it at the southern tip of the yellow search area, then use the Investigate interaction. Take the Royal Treasury Key back to Zizka at Ruthard Palace.
How to reach Vavak’s backyard
During Oratores, after speaking with Zizka in the morning, go to the marked house in Kuttenberg. Christian of Pisek is inside; Vavak is not.

- Enter through the back door. It is described as easier to pick than the guarded front entrance, which has a very hard lock.
- Speak with Christian. Depending on how the earlier Via Argentum quest ended, your conversation may differ; he may offer a scribbled-letter hint.
- Leave through the back door and search the backyard.
Where to find the key
Go to the southern end of the yellow search area and inspect the outhouse, also called the privy. The exact spot is not individually marked, so approach the structure and use the Investigate prompt to retrieve the Royal Treasury Key. It is outdoors in the privy, not in a chest inside the house.
What to do after retrieving it
Retrieving the key leaves Henry dirty or smelly. If you want to clean up before returning, wash at a trough or visit the baths. Then bring the key to Zizka at Ruthard Palace. After you deliver it, the quest continues with asking Rosa about the underground passages, followed by meeting Samuel to explore them.
