You fight the Sisters of Battle in Godhome, in the Pantheon of Hallownest. After your first encounter there, you can fight them again from the Hall of Gods at the bottom of Godhome. Godhome is reached through the Junk Pit in the Royal Waterways, so the route below covers both the entry and the boss location.
Where the Sisters of Battle appear
The Sisters of Battle are a Godhome encounter. They are not part of the ordinary Mantis Lords fight in Mantis Village, even though both are boss battles in the same game. If you are looking for a Sisters of Battle arena in Mantis Village, you will not find one. The Sisters belong to the Pantheon of Hallownest, the fifth and final Pantheon in Godhome, according to the Hollow Knight wiki’s Godhome coverage.
How to reach Godhome
The wiki’s Godhome route runs through the Royal Waterways. Follow these steps in order:
- Reach the Royal Waterways and find the bench there.
- Stand on the ground directly below that bench and use Desolate Dive or Descending Dark to break through into the Junk Pit. The route assumes you already have one of these downward attacks; the source does not explain where to get either one.
- In the Junk Pit, break the roof near Flukemarm.
- Free Godseeker from her cocoon using a Simple Key.
- Use the Dream Nail on Godseeker. This opens the path into Godhome.
Godseeker’s dialogue on the wiki page reads: “By what right dost thou trespass here, in this home of the Gods? Shrivel away and begone! Begone!” It is a good signal that you have reached the right place.

Fighting the Sisters in the Pantheon of Hallownest
Inside Godhome, the Sisters of Battle are encountered in the Pantheon of Hallownest. This is the first fight with them, and it is the one the wiki describes as the Godhome encounter. Because the wiki does not give a complete unlock checklist for the fifth Pantheon, this article does not list the prerequisites for reaching it. Check the current wiki entry for the Pantheon if you are working through the Godhome bosses in order.

After the Sisters have been fought once, you can challenge them again from the Hall of Gods, the statue hall at the bottom of Godhome. The wiki’s Hall of Gods page states that bosses exclusive to the Pantheons, including the Sisters of Battle, unlock there after you have defeated them. Use the Hall of Gods when you want to replay the fight without going back through the Pantheon itself.
