Yak T’el has 10 field Aether Currents to find and five more awarded through quests. Collecting all 15 is required to unlock flying in the zone. The forest has upper and lower levels, so use the Aether Compass and check the listed altitude as well as the X and Y coordinates when a current seems out of reach.

Use the landmarks below to approach each current; the coordinates are listed as X, Y, Z. The Z value helps distinguish Yak T’el’s upper and lower forest levels.
- X:19.1, Y:10.9, Z:3.0 — Along the path to Iq Br’axx from the dirigible landing.
- X:29.7, Y:10.5, Z:3.1 — Just north of the Village of Ilyon Asoh.
- X:10.4, Y:18.7, Z:2.9 — On a ridge overlooking Xmun Hojaw; approach from the west.
- X:17.5, Y:6.7, Z:3.2 — Just north of Yak Awak Tsoly.
- X:33.6, Y:26.1, Z:3.1 — On the ridge overlooking Ty’iinbek Traverse. Stay on the ridge rather than taking the path south downhill.
- X:19.1, Y:33.9, Z:0.8 — In the river below a ramp from the middle of the bridge near Cenote Jayunja.
- X:22.2, Y:21.4, Z:1.4 — On a small ridge east of Moxutural Zooj.
- X:7.9, Y:26.2, Z:1.3 — Atop the ridge around Ankledeep.
- X:25.5, Y:24.6, Z:1.0 — Inside a wooden arch at Choliselvaas’s southeast corner.
- X:36.4, Y:35.7, Z:1.2 — Down the path southeast of the Mamook aetheryte.
If a marker appears to be above or below your position, check the Aether Compass and use the terrain to reach the correct level rather than relying on the map’s X and Y coordinates alone. The Yak T’el Aether Current map and zone table provide the location references.
Quest Aether Currents and unlock requirements
Five currents come from quests rather than field exploration. Quest levels and coordinates are included below; the two prerequisite story quests split the side-quest currents into separate unlock groups.

Taking a Stand is a level 94 main scenario quest in Yak T’el. After completing it, look for the blue quest markers for Aiming High and Secrets in the Cinderfield. The Feat of the Brotherhood opens the two other level 90 side quests, Beast of the Heartland and Lost and Powerless; their prerequisite mapping is recorded in the Yak T’el quest and current listing.
Road to the Golden City is the level 95 main scenario quest current. The official Lodestone quest database entry confirms its Aether Current reward and Yak T’el context.
