Where to search for Cooling Coils
Industrial loot is the clearest search priority. The PC Gamer guide recommends checking red lockers, breachable crates and toolboxes. The Shacknews guide also points to breachable containers and electronic wall panels in Industrial areas, and says every map except Buried City has at least one Industrial point of interest.
Other community-listed scavenging spots include car hoods, buses, mobile generators, metal crates, car tool cabinets and Industrial drawers, alongside red lockers. These are places to search, not confirmed guaranteed locations; the ARC Raiders Wiki does not establish fixed coordinates or a guaranteed yield per raid.
Try Dam Battlegrounds
Dam Battlegrounds is a reasonable map to prioritize. PC Gamer recommends it based on the guide author’s experience, while MetaForge’s player-voted location data also favors it. Neither source demonstrates that a coil will spawn there on every run. Treat the map choice as a search lead, not a promise.

What to do when you find one
Cooling Coil is listed as a rare, recyclable item associated with Industrial loot. The MetaForge item entry lists its weight as 2 kg, value as 1,000 coins and stack limit as three. These are community database details and may change with updates.
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists four Cooling Coils as a requirement for Expedition 2, Stage 2. Project requirements can change, so check the active project screen in-game before selling, recycling or salvaging a coil.
Recycle at Speranza or salvage in a raid?
The item database lists different outputs for the two options:

Both outputs come from the MetaForge Cooling Coil entry. Keep the item if your current project needs it; otherwise, choose recycling for the listed Chemicals or in-raid salvage when convenience matters more.

How reliable are the locations?
The sources provide search recommendations and player-voted location data, not an official loot table, measured drop rates or a route that guarantees a coil. Guides and community-maintained databases can also lag game updates. The item database reports its source data was updated on September 1, 2026, and MetaForge reports an update on September 20, 2026; check current in-game requirements and official update information if a detail matters to your run.
