To unlock the Cyclops in Subnautica, scan three fragments each for its Hull, Bridge and Engine blueprints—nine scans total. The Mushroom Forest and Sea Treader’s Path are good places to search for Hull and Bridge pieces; Engine fragments are found separately, including near the Aurora and at the Underwater Islands wreck.
Where to search for each Cyclops part
Fragments are scattered across several biomes and wrecks, rather than all being in one place. These are documented search areas, not guarantees that every fragment will appear in every save.

Location references: Cyclops, Fragments and Sea Treader’s Path. These community-maintained wiki pages are useful location guides, not official developer spawn guarantees.
A practical search route
- Look for Hull and Bridge fragments in the Mushroom Forest and Sea Treader’s Path. Search the seabed and wrecks. The large Sea Treader’s Path wreck is specifically listed as a useful spot for both types.
- Search separately for Engine fragments. Check around the Aurora, including Cargo Bay 3, and the Underwater Islands wreck. If needed, broaden the search to the Crag Field, Crash Zone and Mountains.
- Use wreck coordinates as targets, not spawn promises. The wreck reference lists Wreck 7 in the Sea Treader’s Path near
-1160, -185, -740and Wreck 9 in the Northwestern Mushroom Forest near-665, -120, 781. Coordinates can help you navigate, but do not ensure a particular fragment is present. - Scan fragments with the Scanner. Each scan contributes to that component’s blueprint. Once the blueprint is complete, move on to the part you still need rather than continuing to collect that type.
- Try another listed area if a wreck is empty. The Wrecks reference notes that some fragments or data boxes may not spawn if the blueprint was obtained before the area or wreck loaded.
The Sea Treader’s Path is listed at a depth range of 170–425 meters, which can help you judge where to search in that biome.

Keep track of the three blueprints
- Hull: 3 scans.
- Bridge: 3 scans.
- Engine: 3 scans.
The Cyclops requires all three component blueprints. Since Hull and Bridge share two documented search areas, finding those pieces does not remove the need to make a separate Engine-fragment search.
