Collecting a tear and applying it at a Site of Grace permanently increases how much both your Crimson and Cerulean flasks restore.

How to use a Sacred Tear
- Loot the Sacred Tear at the church.
- Rest at any Site of Grace.
- Open the Flask menu.
- Select the option to increase the amount replenished by flasks.
- Confirm the upgrade and repeat these steps whenever you collect another tear.
The upgrade is permanent. It affects both the Flask of Crimson Tears, which restores HP, and the Flask of Cerulean Tears, which restores FP; it does not merely add charges or change the split between Crimson and Cerulean flasks.
How much do Sacred Tears increase flask healing?
Each application raises the restoration level of your flasks. With all 12 Sacred Tears applied, the cited Eldenpedia restoration table reaches 810 HP for a Flask of Crimson Tears and 220 FP for a Flask of Cerulean Tears.

These figures describe restoration after the full set has been applied; your current result is lower until the corresponding upgrades are completed.

There is no separate “last tear” location outside the 12 churches above. If your Flask menu does not show the maximum restoration level, compare your inventory and map notes against this checklist:
- Limgrave: Third Church of Marika, Callu Baptismal Church, Fourth Church of Marika, Church of Pilgrimage.
- Liurnia of the Lakes: Church of Irith, Bellum Church, Church of Inhibition.
- Caelid: Church of the Plague.
- Altus Plateau: Second Church of Marika, Stormcaller Church.
- Mountaintops of the Giants: Church of Repose, First Church of Marika.
Also check whether you picked up a tear but have not rested at a Site of Grace to apply it. The Flask menu is where an unapplied tear becomes a permanent restoration upgrade.
What Sacred Tears do not change
- They increase the amount restored by each flask use; they do not grant additional flask charges.
- They improve HP and FP restoration together through the same flask-upgrade system.
- The complete set contains 12 base-game tears, one at each church listed above.
