On Dam Battlegrounds, start at Control Tower and Research & Administration, then check Water Treatment, Hydroponic Dome Complex outposts, and Testing Annex. Other reported spots include Buried City metro entrances, Spaceport’s Flight Control and Control Tower B6, and a large underground bunker in the upper-right of Blue Gate. These are search priorities, not guaranteed spawns.
Best places to search for Fireballs
Fireballs are most often reported inside buildings, narrow corridors, bunkers, and underground spaces; they are less common in the open world. The locations below come from game guides and community references, not an official spawn map. No reliable spawn rate or fixed spawn point has been established.
| Map | Reported places to check | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | Control Tower; Research & Administration; Water Treatment; Hydroponic Dome Complex outposts; Testing Annex | Control Tower and Research & Administration are close together, making them useful first stops. Hydroponic Dome Complex is easy to navigate but may attract other players because it is a high-quality loot area. |
| Buried City | Metro entrances | Prioritize enclosed entrances rather than searching open streets. |
| Spaceport | Flight Control; Control Tower B6 | PC Gamer describes Spaceport as higher difficulty than Dam Battlegrounds. |
| Blue Gate | Large underground bunker in the upper-right | Recommended by the ARC Raiders Wiki. |
PC Gamer’s location guide was published November 18, 2025. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Fireball page was last modified May 14, 2026. Spawn locations and loot details can change with game updates.
How to search efficiently
- Choose Dam Battlegrounds and check Control Tower and Research & Administration first.
- If neither area has a Fireball, search nearby at Water Treatment, Hydroponic Dome Complex outposts, and Testing Annex.
- On another map, check Buried City’s metro entrances or Spaceport’s Flight Control and Control Tower B6. Blue Gate’s upper-right underground bunker is another community-wiki suggestion.
- If you do not find one, move on rather than assuming a location is bugged: none of these spots is documented as a guaranteed spawn.
How to recognize and defeat a Fireball
A Fireball is an armored, rolling ARC that attacks with flames. When it opens its front panel to attack, its unarmored core is exposed; aim for the core during that opening. This is the recommended weak point in the ARC Raiders Wiki and PC Gamer guide.

- The ARC Raiders Wiki says medium- or heavy-ammo weapons can pierce the shell while it is closed, while light-ammo attacks bounce off.
- Keep distance, dodge-roll away from the flame attack, or use terrain the Fireball cannot cross. The wiki also recommends shooting before it attacks when possible.
- After destroying one, avoid running straight through the spot where it fell: the community wiki says a Fireball can leave nearby ground burning.
Why you might be hunting Fireballs
Fireballs can drop a Fireball Burner, an in-game throwable that creates a small fire on impact. The item is listed as useful for the Refiner upgrade and the What Goes Around quest. Check the current in-game recipe and objective for any required quantities, since those requirements may change.
Do not confuse the Fireball enemy with the Fireball Burner item. The community enemy index also lists Fireballs on several maps, but its count and map listing do not align cleanly; it should not be treated as a complete, confirmed current spawn catalog.
