In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, outfits and hairstyles are cosmetic: they do not change combat abilities or stats. Find them through merchants, Mimes, quests, optional encounters, minigames, relationship progression and challenging fights, then equip them from Wardrobe in the pause menu. Two prologue-era opportunities are specifically missable: the Crimson Uniform outfit and Gustave’s Bun haircut.
How many outfits and hairstyles are there?
Game Checklists currently lists 97 outfits: 77 from the base game and 20 added in the Thank You Update. It lists 121 haircuts: 83 from the base game, 32 from the Thank You Update and six anniversary additions reported in April 2026. These are checklist-maintained totals, not an official in-game count.

Some cosmetics are restricted to Deluxe or preorder editions. A shared set name does not mean one unlock covers the whole party: the character-specific versions must be collected separately.
Collect the two reported missables first
Crimson Uniform outfit
- During the prologue, speak to the man in a red uniform at the flower market and receive the uniform item.
- After the Gommage, give it to Jules at the Expedition Festival.
Gustave’s Bun haircut
During the Expedition Festival after the Gommage, spend a Festival Token at Amandine’s stall. She is described as wearing red glasses and a shawl. This is the reported opportunity to obtain Gustave’s Bun haircut.

These examples show the different routes to outfits; the source and condition are included because a location alone may not be enough to unlock an item.

Other outfit unlocks can depend on relationship levels, quests, minigames or difficult battles. Check the character’s Wardrobe after meeting an unlock condition.

Where to buy the six anniversary haircuts
The six haircuts reported as added in the April 2026 anniversary update cost 3,000 Chroma each. Gustave’s is listed at a merchant beside Stone Wave Cliffs. The other five are listed near Coastal Cave:

GamesRadar describes the merchant for the five non-Gustave haircuts as being near Grosse Tête on the world map, while the haircut checklist uses Coastal Cave. Because the landmark wording differs between guides, use the in-game map and nearby landmark names to confirm the merchant rather than relying on a turn-by-turn route from either label alone.
