PSSR is a PlayStation 5 Pro feature, and support is specific to each game. Sony has named a range of titles adopting its upgraded PSSR, but the PS5 Pro Enhanced label alone does not confirm PSSR support. Check the game’s current patch notes or an official announcement, then use the PS5 Pro’s optional “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” setting only for titles that already support PSSR.
Games Sony has named as PSSR adopters
Sony’s March 16, 2026 announcement names these games as adopting its upgraded PSSR:
- SILENT HILL 2
- SILENT HILL f
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
- Control
- Alan Wake 2
- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
- Nioh 3
- Rise of the Ronin
- Monster Hunter Wilds
- Dragon’s Dogma 2
The same announcement said Crimson Desert would adopt the upgraded PSSR at launch, while Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Cyberpunk 2077 were due to receive patches in the following weeks. Those are dated rollout statements, not confirmation that a patch is available for every region or game version. Check each game’s latest official update information.
Sony separately named Resident Evil Requiem as the first game to use the more advanced PSSR version in its February 27, 2026 announcement. These announcements provide confirmed examples, not a complete, continuously updated compatibility list. Sony’s March 2026 upgraded-PSSR rollout announcement and Sony’s February 2026 announcement are useful starting points.

How to check whether a specific game supports PSSR
- Confirm you are playing on PS5 Pro. Sony describes PSSR as a PS5 Pro feature; a game running on the standard PS5 is not using PS5 Pro PSSR.
- Look for an explicit, game-specific confirmation. Check the game developer’s announcement or current patch notes, or Sony’s title-specific announcements. The statement should name PSSR, not just say the game is PS5 Pro Enhanced.
- Check the timing and update version. A rollout announcement may describe a planned patch rather than an update already released. Confirm that the relevant patch is installed and available for your region and edition.
- Review the PS5 Pro setting. Open Settings and look for “Enhance PSSR Image Quality.” Sony says this optional system setting can be applied to PS5 Pro games that already support PSSR; it does not add PSSR to unsupported games.
- Check the game’s graphics options and observe the result. Sony says results vary by title. Do not assume a particular resolution, frame rate, or visual improvement unless the developer or Sony has documented it for that game.
Sony says players can turn off “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” if unexpected visual effects occur. Its guidance and the title list are in the March 2026 PSSR announcement.
PS5 Pro Enhanced does not mean PSSR
“PS5 Pro Enhanced” describes a broader category of enhancements, not a PSSR compatibility badge. Sony’s November 4, 2024 launch post presented a sample of more than 50 games with PS5 Pro enhancements available at launch; that list included different kinds of improvements. It cannot be used as a list of PSSR games. Sony’s launch-era description is available in its PS5 Pro announcement.

Counts also need their original context. Sony’s February 2026 announcement said PSSR had been used to boost the effective resolution of over 50 PS5 Pro titles by that date. That is a dated figure, not an exact current count or an exhaustive catalogue. The separate 2024 figure of more than 50 refers to games with PS5 Pro enhancements, not PSSR specifically.

Sony announced Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR) for the standard PS5 on October 1, 2026, naming Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei as initial QSSR titles. QSSR and PS5 Pro PSSR are distinct features. Those titles’ mention in the QSSR announcement does not establish that they support PSSR on PS5 Pro. See Sony’s QSSR announcement for that distinction.
