Thrustmaster lists force-feedback wheels in three groups: direct-drive models, detachable-wheel bases, and models with a non-detachable wheel. The force-feedback models are the T818, T598, T300, TX, T-GT, T-GT II, TS-XW, TS-PC, T150, TMX, T128, T248, and T248R. The T80, Ferrari 458 Spider, and T98 are listed separately as bungee-cord wheels, not as force-feedback models. Thrustmaster’s compatibility article, dated November 8, 2024, provides this classification.
Thrustmaster force-feedback wheel models by type
Thrustmaster groups its models by drive type and wheel design. These categories describe the manufacturer’s lineup; they are not an independent ranking of performance.

Check platform compatibility before choosing
A model family or similar name does not guarantee compatibility with every console. Support depends on the exact model and variant. For example, Thrustmaster lists a PlayStation/PC version of the T128 for PC, PS4, and PS5, and a separate Xbox/PC version. Its compatibility article groups the T150 and T248 with PlayStation/PC products and the TMX with Xbox/PC products.
Before buying, match the exact product variant to your platform using Thrustmaster’s current compatibility information. Do not assume that a wheel works on both PlayStation and Xbox simply because another version in the same family does.

How the force-feedback designs differ
Force-feedback models do not all use the same mechanism. Thrustmaster describes the T128 as using HYBRID DRIVE, the T150 as using a belt-pulley system, and the T300RS as using a brushless motor with a dual-belt system. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent comparative test results.
Features also vary by model. As examples, Thrustmaster lists a 270°–900° rotation range for the T128 and 270°–1080° for the T150. Its T248 product page describes three force-feedback presets and a built-in display. Check the individual product page for specifications that apply to the exact model and current version.

Testing a wheel or troubleshooting force feedback
Thrustmaster’s calibration and force-feedback test guidance, dated November 8, 2024, covers the T128, T248, T150, TMX, T300, TX, T-GT, T-GT II, TS-XW, and TS-PC. It says a PC running Windows 10 or later is the best way to test wheel behavior outside a game. For a detachable-wheel base, Thrustmaster advises testing with a Thrustmaster wheel mounted; using the base without one, or with a wheel outside its recommendations, may affect correct operation.
For model-specific calibration, firmware, and troubleshooting steps, use Thrustmaster’s current support information for the exact wheel and platform.
