Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf YouTube won’t let you schedule a live stream, first check whether live streaming is enabled for your channel and whether the channel has any restrictions. Phone verification is required, and first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. If you’re trying to schedule from the YouTube mobile app, YouTube also requires at least 50 subscribers.
Check these things first
- Are you using the mobile app? YouTube’s mobile live-streaming instructions require at least 50 subscribers. That threshold is specific to mobile; YouTube’s general computer live-streaming guidance does not list a subscriber minimum. YouTube’s mobile live-streaming instructions explain the app requirements.
- Is live streaming enabled? YouTube requires a verified channel for live streaming. Check YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility.
- Was live streaming just enabled? YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.
- Does the channel have a restriction? A live-stream restriction, copyright issue, policy strike, or daily stream-creation limit can prevent access.
- Are you old enough to live stream? YouTube’s general guidance says creators must be at least 16.
YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance states that a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. See Get started with live streaming for the current requirements.
Work through the fixes in order
1. Confirm whether you’re scheduling on mobile or a computer
The 50-subscriber minimum applies to live streaming from the YouTube mobile app. In the app, open Create → Live; once eligible, the setup flow lets you choose Schedule for later. If you have fewer than 50 subscribers, try a computer instead—but changing devices does not bypass a verification requirement or an active channel restriction.
2. Check channel verification and feature eligibility
- Open YouTube Studio.
- Go to Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility.
- Check whether phone verification is complete and live streaming is available.
- If the channel is not verified, follow YouTube’s verification flow, then revisit Feature eligibility.
YouTube lists live streaming among the features unlocked by phone verification. Its instructions are at See and unlock features with phone verification.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
3. Give first-time activation up to 24 hours
If you only just enabled live streaming, wait up to 24 hours before treating the missing scheduling option as a continuing problem. YouTube specifically notes that the first mobile live stream may take that long to become available; the mobile setup guidance is at Create a live stream on mobile.
4. Look for restrictions and notices
Review YouTube Studio notifications and your email for a restriction or enforcement notice. YouTube identifies policy restrictions, copyright matches, some streams involving minors, and daily creation limits as possible reasons a channel may be unable to stream. Consult Avoid restrictions on YouTube live streaming for its guidance.

Do not try to get around an active restriction by streaming from another channel. YouTube prohibits evading live-stream restrictions this way.
5. Create the scheduled stream through YouTube’s setup flow
Once the channel is eligible, use the appropriate creation flow: on mobile, choose Create → Live and then Schedule for later; on a computer, use YouTube’s webcam or encoder flow. Scheduling is an option within stream creation, not a separate feature that bypasses live-stream eligibility. For settings and scheduling details, see Manage live stream settings.

Why mobile and computer requirements differ
| Streaming route | What YouTube’s guidance specifies | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube mobile app | At least 50 subscribers; first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. | Check the subscriber count, verification, activation time, and restrictions; then use Create → Live → Schedule for later. |
| Computer (webcam or encoder) | General guidance requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the previous 90 days; it does not list the mobile 50-subscriber threshold. | Check Feature eligibility and channel notices, then schedule through the computer stream-creation flow. |
These are different access routes, not workarounds: switching to a computer will not clear a restriction, satisfy an age requirement, or replace verification.

Age and streams featuring minors
YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance says creators must be at least 16. Separately, YouTube warns that streams featuring 13–15-year-olds without a visibly accompanying adult may have chat disabled or access affected. Check YouTube’s current guidance before planning a stream involving minors.
If the schedule option is still missing
- Recheck Feature eligibility and confirm phone verification has completed.
- If you just enabled live streaming, wait through the stated activation window.
- Review Studio and email for channel-specific restrictions, copyright notices, or daily creation limits.
- If you meet the published requirements and still cannot create or schedule a stream, use YouTube’s Send feedback option. Public guidance cannot identify an account-specific block. Eligible creators can also check whether Creator Support is available to them.
A YouTube Help Community reply dated July 3, 2026 discusses the same unavailable-feature issue, but it is community guidance rather than authoritative policy: Live streaming feature is not available on my YouTube channel.
