Start with the account’s own records. Log into the Roblox account where the Robux were earned or bought, check the balance and transaction history, and look for an entry that matches the drop. If nothing in the account explains it, check the Inbox for a refund-removal message. If that also comes up empty, contact Roblox Support with the details below. If the original purchase went through an app store or console storefront, the refund request may have to go to that provider rather than to Roblox.
Step 1: Make sure you are in the right account
Many “missing” balances turn out to be a login issue. If you have more than one Roblox account, or someone else in your household uses the same device or console, the Robux you remember may sit in a different account. Log out, sign into the account where you earned or bought the Robux, and check the balance from there before going further.
Step 2: Check the balance on your platform
Roblox says the balance can be viewed in the mobile app, in a web browser, and in the Xbox app, and that the steps differ by platform. Use the instructions for the device you normally play on, because a balance shown on one device should match the others once the account is loaded. If the numbers disagree across devices, refresh or sign out and back in before assuming anything has changed.
Step 3: Read the transaction history
On the web, select the Robux amount on the Robux page to open My Transactions. The page groups activity into the categories below. Work backward from the date your balance changed, and compare the amounts against each category.

Use the date filters to narrow the window to a few days around the change. An entry that matches the exact amount and date is the most direct explanation the account can give you.
Step 4: Check the Inbox for a refund message
Roblox says Robux can be removed when a refund is processed for a related purchase. In that case the account should receive a direct message explaining that the charge was refunded and its associated Robux were removed. Open the account Inbox and look for a message of that kind around the date of the change. Roblox Support’s own help article uses this title for the message: “Message Received: Robux Removed from my Account.” Its guidance on this point reads: “Robux may be removed from an account after a refund request is processed for a related purchase.”
A refund-removal message is a sign that the balance change followed a refund. It does not tell you who requested the refund, so if you did not request one, treat it as a reason to check the purchase in Step 5.

Step 5: Handle a charge you did not authorize
If the transaction history shows a purchase or charge you do not recognize, the first task is to identify where it was paid for. Roblox directs customers to different routes depending on the payment provider or storefront shown on the receipt or charge.

Roblox asks customers to contact it before filing a dispute with a card issuer, PayPal, or Google Play. A dispute can affect Roblox’s ability to issue a refund, so contacting Roblox first keeps that option open. Roblox’s official article also says unauthorized charges may lead to moderation consequences, including possible account closure, and that some payment processors require refunds to be handled through their own support channels. Those consequences are described as Roblox’s policy; this article cannot say how they would apply to any specific account.
Step 6: Contact Roblox Support
If the account records and Inbox do not explain the change, or if the charge is unauthorized and sits with Roblox rather than an outside storefront, send a support request. The support form asks for the information below, so gathering it first saves a round of follow-up:

- The Roblox username of the affected account
- The device you were using, or the location where the purchase was made
- The help category that best matches the issue
- The approximate date and amount of each unexpected change
- The payment type used for the related purchase, such as card, PayPal, or Google Play
- Any relevant Inbox message, receipt, or confirmation email
Support can review the account’s records, but a response does not guarantee that a balance will be restored or that a refund will be issued. The outcome depends on what the investigation finds.
What Robux rules mean for an unexplained balance
Roblox’s terms state that Robux do not expire. They also say that deleting or terminating an account invalidates the Robux held in it, subject to applicable law. Separately, the terms allow Roblox to revoke Robux in certain circumstances, including fraud or illegal conduct, where the standard stated in the terms is met. These are general rules, not an explanation of your balance. The wording can vary by jurisdiction and version, so read the terms that apply to your account rather than relying on a summary.
