Usually, a OneStream Live pre-recorded stream stops looping because it has completed the repeat count configured for that broadcast. OneStream’s standard workflow supports up to 60 repeats; it does not promise infinite playback. For ongoing playback, OneStream documents a separate YouTube-only 24/7 workflow, which requires Enterprise and can be scheduled for up to 30 days.
Check whether the broadcast reached its loop limit
OneStream’s standard pre-recorded workflow repeats a selected video for a configured number of times during a single broadcast. Its Help Center says the loop setting has a maximum of 60 repeats. If the stream ended after completing that count, it may have stopped as configured rather than failed. The setting is a finite repeat count, not an instruction to play forever. See OneStream’s How to Loop a Pre-recorded Stream? instructions, updated September 21, 2026.
- Open the setup for the pre-recorded stream you scheduled and go to the video selection or setup screen.
- Check the loop-count value saved for that broadcast. Confirm that it is the number of repeats you intended and that it does not exceed 60.
- Compare the configured repeats with how many times the video played before the stream ended. If the count was reached, the finite loop setting is the first thing to account for.
The help page describes repeated playback within one broadcast; it does not say that enabling the normal loop control creates an infinite stream.
Use the separate 24/7 workflow for continuous playback
If your goal is round-the-clock playback rather than a video repeated a set number of times, OneStream documents a distinct 24/7 streaming option. According to its 24/7 Live Streaming instructions, this workflow is for YouTube, requires an Enterprise plan, and asks you to set a duration in days, up to a maximum of 30 days for a scheduled stream. It is therefore continuous within the scheduled period, not an indefinite schedule.

| Workflow | What it does | Documented limit or requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Standard pre-recorded stream | Repeats selected video during one broadcast | Loop count up to 60 repeats |
| OneStream 24/7 streaming | Schedules ongoing playback to YouTube | Enterprise plan; scheduled duration up to 30 days |
These are different workflows with different limits. A standard stream does not become infinite just because its video is set to loop.
Distinguish source-video looping from YouTube DVR
Loop count controls how OneStream repeats the source video. YouTube DVR controls whether viewers can pause and seek backward during a live stream; it does not change how many times the source video plays. YouTube says DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. If DVR is disabled, viewers cannot seek back while the stream is live, although a recording may be available after it ends. Details are in YouTube’s Turn on DVR on live streams help page.

So if the problem is that viewers cannot rewind or playback seems to jump, check the stream’s DVR behavior separately from the OneStream loop count.
If it stopped before the configured repeats finished
The documented loop limit does not, by itself, explain an early interruption. The official instructions establish the workflow and its limits, but they do not give a universal cause for an unidentified broadcast stopping early. Avoid assuming an outage, account restriction, or YouTube defect without incident details.

Gather these details before contacting OneStream support:
- Which workflow was scheduled: standard pre-recorded streaming or 24/7 streaming?
- The configured loop count, if using the standard workflow.
- Your OneStream plan and the scheduled duration, if using 24/7 streaming.
- The selected YouTube event or destination for the broadcast.
- The stream’s status and the approximate time it stopped.
