Fortnite disabled the Peacemaker-inspired Peaceful Hips emote after Season 2, Episode 6 changed how some viewers interpreted its dance. Epic first said it was asking Warner Bros. Games about the collaboration’s creative intent. The companies later said there was no intention to connect the emote to the episode’s storyline, but Fortnite still announced a choreography change to avoid confusion.
What was the Peaceful Hips emote?
Peaceful Hips was a Fortnite cosmetic emote that reproduced part of the dance in the opening sequence of Peacemaker Season 2. Ars Technica reported that Fortnite introduced it on September 15, 2025. Ars Technica’s report describes the item and its removal.

Why did Fortnite disable it?
In Season 2, Episode 6, “Ignorance Is Chris,” an alternate-reality reveal prompted some viewers to look at the dance’s arm movements in a new way. Some interpreted the motions as resembling Nazi imagery in light of the episode. That resemblance was a viewer interpretation, not evidence that the dance was created with that meaning.
On September 28, 2025, the official Fortnite Status account said, as quoted by Ars Technica: “We’re disabling the Peaceful Hips Emote in Fortnite as we inquire into our partner’s creative intentions in this collab emote. Assuming it’s not coming back, we’ll issue refunds in the next few days. Sorry folks.” At that point, Epic described a disablement while it sought clarification, not a confirmed finding about the creators’ intent.

What did Epic and Warner Bros. Games clarify?
In a statement reported October 2, Fortnite Status said Epic had worked with Warner Bros. Games and found no creative intention to connect the emote to the current Peacemaker storyline. The statement, quoted by PC Gamer, read: “We’ve worked closely with our partners at Warner Bros. Games to confirm there were no creative intentions to connect the Peaceful Hips Emote and the current Peacemaker storyline. To avoid any confusion, we’re modifying the Emote choreography in next week’s update.” PC Gamer’s report reproduces the follow-up.
The clarification distinguishes the episode’s effect on audience interpretation from the collaboration’s stated creative intent: Epic and Warner Bros. Games said the emote was not meant to reference the storyline. Fortnite nevertheless announced a choreography modification to prevent confusion.

Can players get a refund, and is the emote back?
PC Gamer reported that people who had already purchased the emote could return it without spending a refund ticket. The follow-up statement announced a choreography change for a coming update, but the reports establish an announcement—not when the revised version went live or whether it is available now. Check Fortnite’s current in-game listing or official status channels for present availability.
