If it is missing from your PlayStation Store or you cannot buy it, the problem is more likely to be a regional listing, account, or temporary storefront issue—not that the game was excluded from PS5.
Is Hollow Knight: Silksong available on PS5?
Yes. The US PlayStation Store listing identifies Hollow Knight: Silksong as a PS4 and PS5 game and shows a purchase option. Its listed release date is September 4, 2025. On launch day, Team Cherry also announced that the game was available on all platforms: “Hollow Knight: Silksong is available now!”
Sony’s September 2025 download charts, published October 2, 2025, also list Silksong among downloads for both PS5 and PS4. That confirms the game was not permanently excluded from PlayStation 5: PlayStation Store: September 2025’s top downloads.
Why did the PS Store appear not to work?
There were reports of storefront access problems on September 4, 2025, the day Silksong launched. TechRadar reported that the PlayStation Store and several other game storefronts were having trouble amid the rush to buy the game, and that pages were gradually returning. The report describes a launch-day disruption; it does not establish an ongoing outage or a permanent removal from the Store. TechRadar’s September 4, 2025 report is contemporaneous coverage, not an official Sony explanation of the disruption.
What to check if Silksong is missing or you cannot buy it
- Open the PlayStation Store page for your region. The cited official listing is for the US, so its availability and price do not establish what another region’s Store currently shows. Check your local Store for the listing and purchase status.
- Check the account and Store region you are using. Make sure you are signed in to the account associated with the storefront you intend to use.
- If the Store returns an error, try again later. Search results or the console Store may not surface a listing reliably, and temporary errors can interrupt access. The historical launch-day incident alone is not evidence of a current outage.
What does Silksong cost on PlayStation?
The US PlayStation Store listing showed a price of $19.99 when observed on October 8, 2026. That is a US-region listing price and may change; check your own regional Store page for the current price and purchase option.
