First check whether your channel meets YouTube’s sending requirements: it must have more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. If you can open the Redirect setting but cannot select another creator’s stream, ask that channel to check whether it has allowed your channel to redirect viewers to it. YouTube’s exact reason for an individual account depends on its current Studio status and settings.
Identify what is unavailable
“Live Redirect unavailable” can mean three different things. Check which one matches what you see before changing streaming software or equipment.

Check the sender requirements
YouTube Help says creators sending a redirect need more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. “More than 1,000” means exactly 1,000 does not meet the stated threshold. Check your channel’s current subscriber count and strike status in YouTube Studio; the public help page does not reveal the status of your individual account. If another channel’s stream is missing, check its permission
The receiving channel controls which creators may send viewers to its live streams. YouTube’s documented choices include channels it subscribes to (if its subscriptions are public), all channels, or specific approved channels. A manually approved list can include up to 100 channels. Ask the destination creator to confirm that your channel is permitted; you cannot change that setting from your own account.

The all-channels option cannot be combined with the subscribed-channels option or the manual list. Permission alone may not make every target selectable: choose a supported, available live stream or Premiere shown in Studio. Set or review a redirect in YouTube Studio
Send viewers from your live stream or Premiere
- Open YouTube Studio and select Content.
- Open the Live tab and find the source live stream or Premiere.
- Choose Edit, then open Customization.
- Under Redirect, select Add and choose the available Premiere or another channel’s live stream.
- Review the selected destination and save the stream settings.
If the control is absent, return to sender eligibility and confirm that you are editing the source item in Studio. If a destination is absent, check its permission and availability rather than treating it as the same problem.

Allow other channels to redirect viewers to your content
- In YouTube Studio, open Settings → Community and review the redirect permissions in Channel Settings.
- Choose whether to allow subscribed channels, all channels, or specific channels you approve.
- If you choose the specific-channel list, add the channels you want to authorize; YouTube allows up to 100.
To redirect to another creator’s live stream, that creator must grant your channel permission. YouTube Help: How to use YouTube Live Redirect.
Check for a live-stream restriction
YouTube says policy, copyright, and other issues can restrict live streaming temporarily or permanently. Check your current live-stream access and channel strikes in Studio, and look for YouTube’s notice or email describing a restriction and any appeal instructions. A live-stream restriction is a reason to check account status, but YouTube’s general restrictions guidance does not establish that every restriction specifically hides the Live Redirect control.

Do not try to bypass an active restriction by streaming from another channel. YouTube states that creators restricted from live streaming are prohibited from using another channel to live stream on YouTube. YouTube Help: Avoid restrictions on YouTube live streaming.
If viewers are not redirected after the stream ends
When a redirect has been set up but the audience does not appear to move, confirm that the intended destination is selected on the source stream and check with the receiving creator that permission is still in place. YouTube advises viewers to wait about two seconds for screens to reload after a stream ends; that is a transition tip, not an eligibility rule. YouTube Help: Manage live stream settings.

Why the exact cause may not be visible here
Your subscriber count, strikes, Studio role, current live-stream access, destination selection, and the receiving channel’s permissions are account-specific and can change. Without those details, it is not possible to identify which condition blocks your channel. Check your own Studio status and, when the destination belongs to someone else, ask its creator to verify the redirect permission.
