Valorant’s Night Market offers six randomized, discounted weapon skins chosen for each player—not a way to request a particular skin. That gap between hoping for a favorite and receiving a random selection helps explain why some players call their offers disappointing. Riot’s rules describe how the offers work; they do not promise that any offer will suit a player’s taste or budget.
What the Night Market actually offers
Riot describes the Night Market as “a collection of 6 random weapon skins that you can purchase, just like you would in the Store.” The offers are player-specific, so one player’s selection will likely differ from another’s. Riot’s Night Market support page, published March 5, 2025, sets out the eligibility rules:
- Eligible skins can come from an Act more than one Act ago.
- Select, Deluxe, and Premium Edition skins can appear. At least two offers of Premium Edition or higher are guaranteed.
- An offer set is limited to two skins for the same weapon, unless applying that limit would prevent the player from receiving six offers.
- Some Exclusive melee skins may also appear.
The rules define the eligible pool and offer count, not a personalized wish list. There is no option to request a particular weapon, design, effect, or price.
Why a discounted offer can still feel disappointing
A discount only helps if the skin is one the player wants and its final price feels worthwhile to them. A randomized set can miss on the preferred weapon, visual style, effects, or spending limit even when it follows Riot’s rules. That is a reasonable explanation for disappointment, not evidence that Riot deliberately assigns unwanted offers or manipulates a particular player’s result.

In an August 2024 Reddit discussion titled “i just wanted to share my night market and say that i am so disappointed,” individual commenters described skins as expensive, called the available discount a matter of luck, and worried that a larger overall skin pool could leave fewer desirable choices among six offers. Other commenters disagreed that the posted offers were disappointing and argued that players were not owed a particular skin. The thread illustrates different personal reactions; it is not a representative poll, and it cannot establish how common dissatisfaction is or how often any specific desired skin appears.
How to judge whether one of your offers is worth buying
Riot sets eligibility and discount mechanics, but it does not establish an objective ranking of which offers are good value. Before spending, assess each offer against your own priorities:
Rank #2
- HERO Gaming Sensor: Next generation HERO mouse sensor delivers precision tracking up to 25600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration
- 11 programmable buttons and dual mode hyper-fast scroll wheel: The Logitech wired gaming mouse gives you fully customizable control over your gameplay
- Adjustable weights: Match your playing style. Arrange up to five 3.6 g weights for a personalized weight and balance configuration
- LIGHTSYNC technology: Logitech G LIGHTSYNC technology provides fully customizable RGB lighting that can also synchronize with your gaming (requires Logitech Gaming Software)
- Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback
- Preferred weapon: Is this a weapon you actually use?
- Design and features: Do you like the appearance and any features that matter to you?
- Final price: Is the discounted price acceptable to you, rather than merely lower than the undiscounted price?
If an offer misses on the things that matter to you, a discount by itself is not a reason to buy it.

Riot’s VALORANT Store guide, updated May 24, 2026, says Store skins are bought with VALORANT Points and individual skins rotate every 24 hours. Riot Support says it cannot modify Store offers or grant expired ones. The guide does not promise that a particular skin will return on a particular date, so passing on an offer means accepting that uncertainty rather than securing a future purchase.

Refunds are also restricted. Riot’s refund guidance, published June 2, 2026, says only unused, base-level weapon skins purchased within the last 14 days can qualify. Used skins and upgraded skins cannot be refunded. Riot counts a skin as used if you take it into a game—including a custom game or practice—after reaching the loading screen with that content equipped. Check Riot’s current policy before buying, especially if you are unsure whether a purchase qualifies.
