Imangi says the game and other Disney apps were removed from app stores. Disney notes that some retired games may remain downloadable and playable on some platforms, but it does not make that promise for Temple Run: Oz. Its retired-games notice says retired titles have no planned future updates or active product support.
The available official information does not establish what happened to every copy already installed on a phone or tablet, or whether a particular device can still run it. So an old installation’s status may vary; there is no official guarantee that it will continue to work.
Is Temple Run: Oz the same as Temple Run?
No. Temple Run: Oz is the retired Oz-themed game; the original Temple Run is a separate Imangi title. Imangi’s FAQ says the original is available for iOS and Android, subject to device requirements, and Google Play lists Temple Run by Imangi Studios. Those listings are for the original game, not a return of Temple Run: Oz. Imangi’s FAQ · Temple Run on Google Play.
Imangi also says progress in the original Temple Run is stored locally rather than synced through cloud storage. That detail applies to Temple Run 1; it should not be taken as information about Temple Run: Oz.
