The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered Patch 5.00b adjusts lighting in some interiors that appeared too dark and fixes a DLSS availability issue in the PC version accessed through Xbox Play Anywhere. CD PROJEKT RED lists the patch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Play Anywhere on PC; it does not name other PC storefront versions in the hotfix announcement.
What Patch 5.00b changes
CD PROJEKT RED’s Patch 5.00b announcement lists two relevant fixes:
- Dark interiors: The publisher says it made various lighting adjustments, including fixing some interiors that appeared too dark. The note does not specify which locations or quantify a brightness change.
- DLSS on PC: The update fixes an issue that made DLSS unavailable in the Xbox Play Anywhere version of the game on PC.
The announcement gives no measured brightness, image-quality, frame-rate, or performance results, so these are best understood as the fixes the patch says it made—not as quantified improvements.
Which versions are named for the patch?
The Patch 5.00b announcement names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC Xbox Play Anywhere version. It does not list Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Battle.net, or other PC storefront versions as recipients of this patch. That distinction matters: the DLSS fix is specifically described for Xbox Play Anywhere on PC, not for PC editions generally.

How this hotfix fits the Remastered release
Patch 5.00b is a narrow follow-up, not a description of the full Remastered overhaul. In its September 29, 2026 release announcement, CD PROJEKT RED described Remastered as a free upgrade for eligible existing owners and listed upgrade paths for GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The same announcement says the game is available to purchase on Battle.net and Microsoft Store as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
The publisher’s broader release description covers enhanced visuals and performance, improved combat, a reimagined skill system, overhauled animations, and cross-platform mod support. It also says Remastered includes Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Those are release features, not changes attributed to Patch 5.00b; the hotfix announcement focuses on lighting and DLSS availability.
