WNBA League Pass Annual is advertised for $39.99 per year on the WNBA’s plan page. It includes live out-of-market games, on-demand games, classic games, and NBA TV this season. A monthly option is also offered, but the WNBA material reviewed here does not state its price. Neither plan guarantees every game live: local and national broadcast restrictions apply, so check your location before subscribing.
What WNBA League Pass includes
The WNBA’s current plan page describes League Pass as a way to watch live out-of-market games and games on demand, with hundreds of classic games in the archive. The annual plan page currently advertises an NBA TV subscription included this season; that is a current-season offer, not a promise that NBA TV will remain included in future seasons. The WNBA also lists select alternate and Spanish-language (ESPN Deportes) broadcasts, enhanced video controls, and live stats on connected TVs. See the WNBA League Pass plan page for the current offer.
- Live: out-of-market games, subject to location-based and national broadcast blackouts.
- On demand: game replays, with availability timing varying by blackout type and market.
- Archive and extras: hundreds of classic games, select alternate and Spanish broadcasts, enhanced video controls, and connected-TV live stats.
- Simultaneous viewing: up to three devices, according to the WNBA FAQ.
WNBA League Pass plan options and prices
| Option | Billing and published price | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Annual via WNBA.com or WNBA app | $39.99 per year on the current WNBA plan page | Includes the features described above; web subscriptions renew every 365 days from purchase. Live games remain subject to blackouts. |
| Monthly via WNBA.com or WNBA app | Monthly billing is offered; monthly price is not stated in the WNBA material reviewed here | Web subscriptions renew every 30 days. Check the purchase screen for the current charge and terms. |
| Student annual discount | 40% off the annual subscription for eligible students in select markets | A discount on the annual plan, not a separate feature tier. Eligibility and availability must be confirmed through the redemption process. |
| Amazon Prime subscription | Monthly and annual options in select markets; price is shown by Amazon at purchase | A separate purchase and viewing route. A Prime subscription works in Prime apps and on Prime’s website, not through WNBA.com or the WNBA app. |
The WNBA’s FAQ and plan page do not emphasize every benefit identically. Confirm the features, price, and market terms shown in the checkout route you intend to use.
Can you watch every WNBA game live?
No. League Pass covers live out-of-market games, but broadcast rights restrict some live games. Blackouts depend on where you are watching, and the WNBA says its broadcast lists can change. A local team’s game may be unavailable live in its market; nationally televised games can also be blacked out. The WNBA blackout help article explains current rules and links to the ZIP-code lookup for checking local availability.

Special events and changing locations
The WNBA blackout article says the All-Star Friday Night event, All-Star Game, and Commissioner’s Cup championship are not live on League Pass in the U.S. or Canada, with on-demand access after they conclude. Restrictions are based on your current location; in the U.S., your ZIP code determines local team coverage. Check the schedule and ZIP-code lookup near game time, particularly if you travel or follow a team in your local market.
Does League Pass have a student discount?
Yes. The WNBA FAQ lists a 40% discount on the annual subscription for eligible undergraduate and graduate students in select markets: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is an eligibility-dependent annual-plan discount, and the WNBA advises confirming availability and terms through the offer’s redemption path. See the official League Pass page for the current route.

Where can you watch, and does a TV device need to be purchased?
The WNBA lists its website and apps for iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Apple TV. A Fire TV device is not required: other listed connected-TV platforms and mobile devices are supported. The current supported-device list and app version can change, so confirm compatibility before purchasing.
Amazon Prime is a distinct subscription path, not simply another way to log into a WNBA account. WNBA says a Prime-purchased League Pass subscription can be watched only in Prime apps and on Amazon Prime’s website; it cannot be used to sign in on WNBA.com or the WNBA app. Country availability and Prime terms should be checked at the point of purchase. See WNBA League Pass with Amazon Prime.

How billing, renewal, and cancellation work
For subscriptions purchased on WNBA.com, annual billing renews every 365 days on the purchase anniversary, while monthly billing renews every 30 days, according to the WNBA’s purchasing help article, updated March 25, 2026. The WNBA says annual subscribers are notified before renewal. In-app subscriptions follow the terms of the provider through which they were bought; the subscriber agreement describes automatic renewal and advises reviewing the terms at purchase.
Cancel through the same channel used to subscribe:
- WNBA.com purchase: use your WNBA account.
- In-app purchase: use the subscription controls for the relevant app store or device.
- Amazon Prime purchase: manage the subscription through Amazon.
Which option should you choose?
- Choose annual billing if you want a season-long subscription and the current $39.99 offer fits your budget; check that your team’s games are available live where you live.
- Consider monthly billing if you prefer shorter billing intervals, but review the actual monthly charge and renewal terms at checkout.
- Check the student offer if you are an eligible undergraduate or graduate student in one of the listed markets.
- Use the Prime route only if its app-and-website viewing limitation suits you. It does not provide WNBA app or WNBA.com access.
For any route, the most important check for a fan of a local team is live availability: a League Pass subscription may offer the replay after a game but not the live broadcast in your market.
