Wooting keyboards do support a Razer Snap Tap-like last-input mode, but the feature is not best described as a brand-new 2026 update that Wooting added only after Razer. Wooting calls its implementation Snappy Tappy, documents it as SOCD resolution, and announced it in July 2024. Its Last input priority mode makes the most recently pressed key win when opposing directions such as A and D are held together.
What last input priority does
On a conventional keyboard, pressing opposing movement keys such as A and D at the same time commonly produces contradictory input. Depending on the game and input handling, the directions may cancel out and result in neutral movement.
With last input priority enabled, the keyboard resolves that conflict by selecting the most recently pressed key. For example:

- Press D without releasing A.
- D becomes the active direction.
If the order is reversed, A becomes active instead. The previous key does not need to be physically released first. The same principle can apply to other opposing pairs, such as left/right or up/down, depending on the configuration.

This changes how simultaneous inputs are resolved; it does not remove human reaction time, server latency, or every form of movement inertia. It also does not guarantee better aim, faster reactions, or a higher win rate.
What Wooting calls the feature
SOCD means Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions. SOCD cleaning or resolution is the general description for deciding what happens when opposing directional inputs are active together.
Wooting initially described its implementation as SOCD and later marketed it as Snappy Tappy. Last input priority is one Snappy Tappy mode—not the name of every feature in the system. Wooting’s official announcement is dated July 24, 2024, so current coverage should not present the capability as a newly introduced 2026 feature. Snappy Tappy versus Rappy Snappy
These names are easy to confuse, but they describe different decision rules.

Wooting also documents an optional alternative fully pressed behavior that can allow both keys to remain active when they are fully pressed. That setting is separate from simply choosing last input priority. In short: Rappy Snappy chooses based on press depth; Snappy Tappy can choose based on press order.
How to enable last input priority in Wootility
Wooting’s labels can change between software versions, but the current setup path is:
- Connect the Wooting keyboard and open Wootility Web or the Wootility desktop application.
- Update Wootility if prompted.
- Check for keyboard firmware updates under Settings → Updates → My Devices.
- Open the keyboard profile you intend to use.
- Open Advanced Keys.
- Select the first opposing key, normally A.
- Add or select Snappy Tappy (SOCD).
- Pair it with the opposing key, normally D.
- Choose Last input priority.
- Save the profile to the keyboard.
- Test the result with a key-input tester or in a low-stakes game.

- A alone outputs A.
- D alone outputs D.
- Holding A and pressing D afterward makes D the active direction.
- Holding D and pressing A afterward makes A the active direction.
- The earlier key does not have to be released first.
If the option is missing or movement behaves incorrectly
- Confirm that Wootility detects the keyboard.
- Update both Wootility and the keyboard firmware.
- Check that the selected profile is the profile currently in use.
- Verify whether the selected keys are analog or digital and whether your model has a relevant limitation.
- Remove conflicting Advanced Keys assignments.
- Test a simple A/D pair before adding more bindings.
- Save the profile onboard and restart the game.
- Switch profiles or restore the profile if necessary, then contact Wooting support.
Version-specific behavior matters. For example, Wooting’s May 6, 2026 changelog for Wootility 5.3.1 documented a crash fix involving Snappy Tappy assigned to a digital key on the UwU. That does not mean every model has the same limitation, but it is a reason to keep software and firmware current. See Wootility 5.3.1.

Which Wooting keyboards support it?
Wooting states in its 4.7.2 changelog that Snappy Tappy and Rappy Snappy were made available across its keyboard range, including older models such as the original Wooting One. Current product pages continue to list Snappy Tappy on products including the Wooting 60HE+.
That broad compatibility statement should not be read as meaning every Wooting keyboard behaves identically. Practical availability can depend on the model, firmware, Wootility version, key type, and whether the feature is being applied to analog or digital keys. Update the device and verify the option on the exact keyboard you own before relying on it.
At the time of checking on August 18, 2026, Wooting listed Wootility 5.4.1 as its latest release. Version information is date-sensitive. Wootility 5.2.1 and later require Windows 10 or newer on Windows; Wooting’s release information also lists desktop support for macOS and Linux. Wootility 5.2.1 added support for the 60HE v2, which has its own setup documentation.

Razer calls its equivalent feature Snap Tap. Razer describes it as prioritizing the latest input between two selected keys without requiring the previous key to be released. On supported Huntsman V3 Pro models, Razer says Snap Tap can be toggled with Fn + Left Shift, with A/D as the default pair. Other supported Razer keyboards and gaming laptops use Synapse 4. Details and product support are listed on Razer’s official Snap Tap page.

Functional similarity does not establish that Wooting added the feature only after Razer, nor does it prove that either company invented the underlying technique first. The documented evidence supports a comparison of branding and behavior, not a definitive copying or invention claim. Razer’s current support information also says Synapse 3 stopped receiving updates and cloud services after February 3, 2026; Synapse 4 is the relevant software path for supported devices. Rapid Trigger is not last input priority
These features can be used together, but they solve different problems:
- Rapid Trigger changes when an individual key activates or deactivates based on switch movement.
- Snappy Tappy/SOCD decides what output to produce when two opposing keys are active.
Rapid Trigger does not automatically create last-input priority. Wooting lists the features separately on its product pages and provides separate setup guidance for Rapid Trigger.

Is Snappy Tappy allowed in competitive games?
No keyboard feature is automatically legal in every game. Wooting’s Wootility 4.7.2 changelog explicitly warns that Snappy Tappy/SOCD is disallowed in Counter-Strike 2. Do not use it in CS2 competitive play unless the applicable rules have clearly changed.

For other games, check the current anti-cheat and input rules, tournament or league regulations, and platform-specific policies. Rules may address the keyboard, the configuration software, or the resulting input behavior. The available documentation does not justify a universal claim that the feature is either allowed or banned in every other title.
Should you buy a Wooting keyboard for this feature?
Not necessarily. If an existing keyboard supports equivalent SOCD or last-input functionality, buying a Wooting solely for the label is unnecessary. The broader reasons to consider Wooting include Hall-effect sensing, Rapid Trigger, adjustable actuation, onboard profiles, and Wootility’s web and desktop configuration.
- Choose Wooting if you want several documented SOCD modes, onboard profiles, Wootility configuration, and a wider Hall-effect feature set.
- Choose Razer if you already use the Razer ecosystem or specifically want Snap Tap on a supported Huntsman V3 Pro model with its onboard shortcut.
- Choose neither solely for CS2 because Wooting documents Snappy Tappy/SOCD as disallowed there.
- Keep your current keyboard if it already provides the input behavior you need and you do not need Hall-effect features.
Wooting’s current buying pages include the compact 60HE+ and newer 60HE v2, while the company also lists the larger 80HE family. Razer’s official Snap Tap page is the appropriate place to confirm supported Huntsman V3 Pro models. Prices, regional availability, taxes, shipping, and whether a Wooting listing is a bare module or complete keyboard are time-sensitive and should be checked on the live official store pages.

Wooting keyboards support a Razer Snap Tap-like last-input mode through Snappy Tappy. Wooting documented the capability in 2024, so “now” and “following Razer” are misleading shorthand. The feature resolves opposing inputs by letting the most recently pressed direction win, while Wooting also offers absolute-priority and neutral modes. Before enabling it, update the keyboard, save the profile onboard, test the A/D pair, and—most importantly—check the rules for the specific game or competition.
